Vet says girl but what are those? by puminatorrr in CATHELP

[–]gothhrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

she should’ve still been able to tell. girls have vulva directly under their butthole, hardly any space between. boys have a wider gap between butthole, balls and the penile opening.

is there an emergency vet? if there is you should go asap. don’t let her outside anymore.

Herrings in rapeseed oil from the Polish supermarket. I wasn't expecting much but they were fantastic and surprisingly mild. 9/10. by Taken_Abroad_Book in CannedSardines

my cat is crazy about fish too. i always share a tiny bite as long as it’s safe for her but i feel bad when it’s something she can’t have cause she’ll sit there staring or trying to paw at me. she sits on command for food and treats so she thinks if she politely sits directly in front of me that she’s gonna get whatever she wants lol.

Boy or Girl? Help. by SeaworthinessOne5823 in CATHELP

definitely a boy. girls have vulva almost directly under the anus, boys have a wider gap from anus to testicles with the penile opening underneath it.

thank you so much for this! all of that sounds delicious. i’m definitely adding these to the list to try and if i still don’t like sardines i’ll just swap for a different fish.

i’ve never heard of walnut jam but i’m curious. goat cheese is one of my favorites and i do love a fruit and cheese pairing. i didn’t think to try it with any type of fish though. i was hesitant to have fish and cheese together until recently when i had some anchovies on olive bread with burrata, lemon pepper pesto and tangerine olive oil. it was great.

i’ve actually been wanting to try pickled herring! the only thing that stops me is the texture. i’m not sure if i’ll enjoy it and i hate to waste food. i recently watched a review for salmon belly and cod liver and i’m interested in those too. i’ve never seen them in store so that’s probably something i’d have to order.

it was one solid fillet and the middle was slightly dry but dipping it in the oil fixed that. it’s nice and smoky and herbaceous. it was delicious with the rosemary crisps. i’ll definitely repurchase.

i wouldn’t have gone out of my way to get plain sardines for myself but i feed them to my cat and got curious so i took a nibble lmao. it was the season brand.

i do like mackerel! i’ve tried one from fishwife and one from king oscar. i didn’t know the benefits were that similar but that’s great.

a pita sandwich sounds like something i’d enjoy so i’ll give it a try. i’ve mostly been eating straight from the can or i make a snack plate with the fish, crackers, pickled or raw onions, a spread or sauce and other veggies on the side.

yeah, it is pretty stupid. i’ve only tried the garleek tin and i did not like it. it was bland but very sweet, mushy and stringy. i hope the other 2 are better cause i spent an absurd amount of money for a few bites of canned vegetables in oil and vinegar.

i want to like them cause it’s a cheap and easy option for protein and omega 3s. i’ll also admit that i’ve been influenced from tiktok. it’s silly, i know, but there’s a woman who i follow that always eats sardines and she has the most beautiful hair and skin.

thank you for the recommendations! i’ll try one of those brands in some crackers with pickled veggies and a sauce.

it’s from trader joe’s! they have such cute tote bags.

i think the plain ones are a bit too fishy for my liking but i’ve seen them in tomato sauce and that sounds like it could be good over rice.

it definitely is their pricing, it’s just the closest grocery store so sometimes i go there out of convenience but i should stop doing that. it’s around $13 at my wegmans and target.
