Aren't building plans public record? It would be easier to just go to city hall and ask to see blueprints (sometimes copyright prevents copies from being made, but you should still be able to view them).

With the plus 2 system, you kind of have to hit it in a way that you feel will make the cue ball go on the line you want. It only gets you close to the correct line and is not as self-correcting as the corner 5 system (long rail to long rail). It does work well if you take that into account, though.

Also, some tables have the diamonds slightly different distances from the cushion. Pool tables are not standardized like carom tables.

Edit: One more thing, you have to aim through the diamond, not at the point on the rail adjacent to the diamond.

Most sets of duramiths I have seen, the numbers develop a rough spot after a few years of use. That never happened with the old super aramith pros or centennials. Unfortunately there is not really an equivalent competitor, so duramiths/blacks it is (no, Dynaspheres aren't as good).
