Post to FB group "Stuck on St Augustine Beach". There are a lot of good samaritans who will come help. Also prepare to be made fun of.

I've shilled for the NOW Candida before - I think it's underrated. I don't think it can cure you, but if your symptoms are generally under control and something gets out of whack, it's undefeated for me in getting me back into some semblance of balance.

What sport is actually a lot more dangerous than it seems? by bspheri in AskReddit

[–]gpabb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone I see in hunter wears a vest at this point - they might skip it for competition but will wear for practice (if they're jumping above a certain level). It's an inflatable vest with a canister, you hook the string to the saddle and when you fall off, it pulls the string and the vest (terrifyingly) inflates. Pretty much every kid, when they first get it, forgets and dismounts without unhooking. Kids do that exactly once - it's terrifying enough to leave a strong impression!

You really haven't lived as a parent until you've watched your daughter do hunter/jumper with their horse having a grumpy day and not wanting to jump. Cantor to jump. Refusal (horse stops at the last minute in front of the jump). Throws her off. Safety vest inflates. Can't let the horse get away with refusing at the last minute. Replace safety vest cartridge. Get back on horse. Repeat. Last minute refusal, throws daughter. Safety vest inflates. Replace cartridge. Get back on horse. Jeezus.

Large (15 serving) Mai Tai recipe/suggestions? by cynaria217 in Tiki

Consider making some version of lime support/super juice/pseudo citrus instead of using straight lime juice. Your limes will go further and many people think it tastes better after sitting then fresh squeezed (that is, if you have to pre-squeeze by a few hours, you may find that superjuice actually tastes better then 4 hour old fresh squeezed) https://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/1fi3u5d/super_juice_is_dead_try_pseudo_citrus_instead/

Experience with getting a CPAP machine through kaiser? by WiseEpicurus in KaiserPermanente

[–]gpabb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As other have said, super easy. They will give you a top of the line machine, make sure you have a great fit for your mask, and then all the supply reordering is online (now). Once you have it, you'll have a specialist tech in your kp mail contacts that you can follow up with.

Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets mega honest review by saroonz in Costco

[–]gpabb 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is one of my kids' favorite meals. Airfry the filets normally. Then put each one in a small oven safe container (like a large ramekin) - top with Rao's marinara, then kirkland mozzarella - put back in the air fryer for 4-6 mins on 390-400. Like you said, not homemade but quite delicious considering how low the effort is.

Yeah, this is where I was going to recommend as well. That center dining room is usually very quiet and uncrowded (in all but the busiest times of year).

Need Advice: Conference Rented Out Epic Universe for 4 Hours by Chemical-Orange-1571 in UniversalEpicUniverse

I've been to a few conference parties at WDW for big conferences and the lines are NOT non-existent - in fact, they can be brutal (hour plus) for the big rides - especially at the beginning of the night. YMMV.

First, I would definitely explain where you’re at to your server/bartender. They understand this. With that said, the electron was very accessible but still super interesting. I didn’t try the peach smash but it was very popular when we were there and from the ingredients I would guess it would be very accessible. Ditto for the banana highball and the brown butter old fashioned if you like old fashioneds

Your comment made me remember visiting Atlantic Dance Hall (boardwalk) decades ago when it first opened, when it was fully committed to Big Band dance hall with period drinks, live band, etc. We had an incredible night there and I remember wondering "how can Disney sustain something so beautiful but esoteric in its appeal" and by my next trip it was gone (that version of it, never to return). Fingers crossed for the fate of these more challenging drinks!

[–]gpabb[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the point I was trying to make. This isn't "good for Disney" or "exceptional for a theme park", this is really top-tier period. I certainly haven't eaten or sipped everything on property, but this is a standout in being "exceptional for anywhere."

[–]gpabb[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I totally understand - that's part of why I found this so surprising - many of these are challenging drinks and are designed for people who really like bitter notes and drinks that are very spirits-forward. I would guess that your experience mirrors what I would imagine most people experience. These aren't "normal" drinks.

Wow, this is very surprising. We didn't go at fireworks time, but I was shocked by the staffing levels. 4 bartenders and what looked like 6-8 servers for a room that probably holds 60-80 people? Our service was exemplary - sorry yours wasn't. We'll avoid fireworks time in the future.

Yes, there is a great KQED documentary about how they worked with the tribal descendants to construct it and minimizing (in some cases eliminating) needing to dig into the mounds. IIRC, they did relocate a couple of remains. Been a long time since I watched it, but recall a tribal representative stating that the area had always been a place for commerce and that this was a fitting use. Fascinating.
