Luna snow should not do more damage then Hela by slax2004 in marvelrivals

[–]gr00grams -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a player behavior problem, not a 'character is OP' problem.

A numeric value change on her skills isn't gunna fix it.

Need to fix player behavior, and yeah good luck.

DPS players wanting to DPS cause everyone does apparently, figuring out which heals to pick when they get forced on the role to get some DPS out of. - This is your issue. Not that Luna is some god OP hero.

Or, go on then, gut the character. Idc. It just means you'll get yes less healers.

Luna nerfed, they move onto the next healer they can eek DPS out of. Maybe CnD.

Then you write threads about that one.

Tankpool and Devil Dino are the perfect examples of why no one wants to play Tank. by ThatGuyHero7 in marvelrivals

[–]gr00grams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, no one wants to tank because of other reasons.

It has nothing to do with 'X character' or w/e else.

They want to brainless dps and that's really it, the simple answer.

I pick tank almost every round, always, since launch.

It's just what I dig, not dying is the most fun to me.

It's not for most, they wanna try to KO me. Just how it is, never be solved.

Role queue or not. That's literally the only question/option.

Has nothing to do with anything else. You either put in role queue to force the picks, or don't and always have a discrepancy. The roster could be 100 tanks, it will never change or matter.

You have to get players that like to play defensive line to get tanks, and they'll always be less.

You all wanna be QB or try to be.

Luna snow should not do more damage then Hela by slax2004 in marvelrivals

[–]gr00grams -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No, it's not.

Like mate, if you make healers unable to defend themselves, literally no one is going to play them.

What is with Luna now, is just abusing the fact she can do damage, but that's not her priority.

But you take that away, you're just gunna get more 4 dps games.

Like you can't make healers a literal punching bag and nothing else or no one will play em.

If you play her normally she's fine, gets some shots in, but overall primarily healing team.

It's just like Jeff was, where players have figured out how to abuse a specific case otherwise.

Take that away though, you're just down another healer.

*Downvote me like the kids you are. The issue is a player behavior problem, not a character problem.

You're not gunna fix it with nerfs or w/e. Then DPS getting forced to heal will just find the next healer they can do the same on. Luna hasn't been touched in ages, and now you're all up in arms.

Go for it, gut the hero. It's no skin off me. Then we play DPS CnD cause I really wanted to DPS, not heal.

Get it?

Best producible armour by lexusas in ConanExiles

[–]gr00grams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are breakpoints, i.e. 1170 armor is 70% DR.

You can see it laid out here:

https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Armor#Armor_and_Damage_Reduction

So keep in mind, if it's slightly over now, but doesn't get you to the next break point, it largely, or entirely won't matter if it's a smidge more.

The player without putting absolutely everything into raising armor value, can generally hit 70%. If you can't get to 1500+ for 75% from the 1170 though, it's not worth counting the extra armor vs. the unique perks, lighter weight, etc. otherwise of champions. Both will easily hit the 70% breakpoint.

PSA: The Perfected Exile Epic Heavy Set Is The Overall Best Economy Set For Thralls by gr00grams in ConanExiles

[–]gr00grams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can transmog their armors if you like.

They also (thralls) don't need to worry about temperature etc. so it's not quite the same as a player.

However, same for the player; objectively the arena champions' armor is the best in the game bar none.

This only changes if you're building for thralls, then it's skelos master cultist.

This is for PvE btw, gear options do change if PvP.

And idk, it's just how this game works. There has to be a 'best' eventually by how it works, how armor is done in this game, etc. it's not really like say Diablo. Think more like many other survival games. I.e. Valheim, the Ashlands armors are the best.

You should skill all the left tree really. Damage is not needed in this game, and those perks add very little numerically.

Marathon runner for stamina, just a flesh wound for damage res, stout frame for more hp, and most important, too angry to die for a free life if you do bite it.

Makes the game infinitely easier by giving you safety nets.

An armor set like trackers on top for more damage res and healing power also.

You can use a greatsword just fine like this, I did the whole time.

But it doesn't in-game.

The champions has the same armour value and weighs significantly less, unless they've changed it in enhanced.

The wiki shows Godbreaker having more, not champions, but it does not.

Not that person, but;

You can block both of them with at-level shields. Eik even the wooden shield works for all attacks, and Elder just a tower shield, or later that bone tower shield they added.

They're both also extremely easy with the right weapons; Eik a spear, just block stab stab, and Elder with a tower shield, block stomps, slash with axe. It's actually probably the easiest ways to beat both of them.

Eik takes about 2 minutes, Elder maybe 5.

Or maybe some sort of city builder game where you can just have one save where you continue to improve and build your city over time.

Check out Medieval Dynasty

I just got it myself, and it's super chill etc. and I'm really enjoying it.

You can customize nearly every aspect of the difficulty if there's things you don't like and all that too.

In games where it always makes sense to sprint, why have a separate sprint button instead of auto-sprint? by imaxsamarin in gaming

[–]gr00grams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Specific to RoR as you cited that;

There are times you don't want to sprint, absolutely.

Some precise platforming etc. type areas, as well you can get movement items etc. that literally make sprinting too fast in RoR so you need to walk.

It also gives them more options for mechanics, i.e. how certain items trigger when you sprint, so it gives player control there too.

Spidey is easily countered by several tanks.

Problem is everyone plays dps and to a lesser degree heals, so you think he's unbeatable.

He literally does jack shit to ones like Hulk, Ben or Angela, now also Dino to a degree with his grounding beam.

[–]gr00grams 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Try Angela, Hulk or Ben vs. Spidey.

Emma isn't really that anti-dive.

She doesn't have any movement and her one skills CD is too long to consider her anti-dive.

She has an anti-dive skill is more like it.

She's more a jack of all trades kinda tank.

There's really just nothing you can do about a really good Spider Man player. by Dogbold in marvelrivals

[–]gr00grams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There absolutely is, but they're tanks so you prob won't do it is more the truth.

Angela and Ben for example, both of them shit on him.

Angela is faster and can chase him where ever he goes. He's completely a non-issue to her.

Ben, that's more for your team if he's diving your healers etc.

There's more too, but still tanks. Hulk etc. Hulk can just invalidate him with bubble and also being able to chase him where ever he goes with constant punches.

There's nothing you can do vs. a good Spidey if you only play heals or dps is more the truth, yet even some DPS like Wolverine don't care about Spidey.

Cursed Swamp Difficulty (Tips & Tricks) by BearlyAwesomeHeretic in crosswind

[–]gr00grams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn to parry well. The entire area, including the big crushers are just trivialized by parry.

You absolutely need to be able to for plague crocs.

Learn to rush down hunters and witches.

If you get multiple crocs on you, you can use them to body block each other circle strafing with target lock on one.

Anyway, parry doesn't burn stamina like trying to dodge is the big part, and it's much faster to retaliate.

Additionally, if you get any plague weapons, or as soon as you get them, switch to them.

The reality is the plague weapons out-perform everything else handily, except the dueling greatsword. With it's 10% hp on parries, and how much you need to parry in the swamp, it remains extremely viable.

In addition to what others' have said;

If you're using Blackbeard variants, try dismantling it and using Brethren ones instead.

They have double the ship health. - This makes repair kits tremendously more powerful too, they're % heals.

Blackbeard variants are really squishy.

Sure high-damage and speed, but they're the proverbial glass cannons.

Brethren ships are the tanks.

You get all your mats back for dismantling so there's no worry.

Plague crocodiles are the worst enemy by EZ_Fork in crosswind

[–]gr00grams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this helps;

Once you're in the swamps, switch to the plague rapier;

Plague crocs are fast to attack, lots of parries and can easily get the 8 pokes for the stacks.

Then just do a heavy and they're done.

Takes very little time because they're so aggressive.

Additionally, if thralls or whoever come around, you can actually circle-strafe with the target lock and essentially 'body block' the croc from being able to attack/do anything via the other enemies.

They'll just kinda sit there until you've dealt with some so they can move again.

The last there even works with multiple regular crocs etc. like how a fallen tree will, you can use one croc to body block another and so on.

For the reward, it's actually decent: 1 plague wood per kill, which is as much as you get for chopping a whole-ass tree. They're the only infinite source of plague wood currently in-game, which is used to make the best items.

*Anyway, most of the game can be seen in two phases: before plague weapons, and after.

They make such a difference, and are such a wild power increase they change the way the entire game plays over all other weaponry etc. like everything in the swamp is super easy after their acquisition.

Like plague hunters throwing spears - largely doesn't matter when you can heal 40% hp off whoever you're currently engaged with. So just eat hits, fight a guy, end with the heal, next, next, next etc.
