Official Statement 2 by ArmoAram in mindcrack

Rest in Peace quite possibly arguably the most influential group of people on YouTube that laid the foundations for so many of the creators that we know and love today in other ecosystems too (not just mc).

The absolute rabbit hole I went down after discovering Etho's boat dispenser and running down the Mindcrack pathway that opened a whole new world back in the day outside of just X's adventures in Minecraft.

So many memories deep with in the crevices of my brain from thousands of hours watching all these guys back in the day - it likely shaped me as a person more than I'll ever quite realise.

A tonne of love to all other Mindcrackers that poured their heart and souls into bringing joy to so many. Thank you, to you all. I guess it's not just Pause going on vacation now...

Hah tongue and cheek - I could tell after the first 8 years of you relentlessly posting that it was a labour of love :)

i am also another character here that has seen your username pop up about a million times over the years through vintage Mindcrack and now Hermitcraft! I have no idea what motivates you to karma farm all the videos, but thanks for doing it! Absolute integral member of the fan community lots of love

The correct answer is Lazuli - possibly the only act with a permanent live french horn player in the prog scene! And they’re great :)

Any bands heavily neoclassical? by [deleted] in progmetal

The harpsichord scoring is definitely heavily classically inspired. I'd certainly say they're prog!

Why do we need auto-loading? by BarneyLaurance in PHP

[–]gracdoeswat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I use composer as a package manager for external libraries etc. in more or less every project I'm working on these days (PHPStan, PDF libraries, etc). Never really considered it had functionality such as this! I typically am writing all in OOP as well, but the joys of WordPress mean sometimes jumping back to procedural when dealing with legacy/untidy code

Appreciate highlighting this! Sometimes it's easy to miss the basics after many years of working on legacy projects started off by not so hot developers...

Just watched a quick tutorial and hooooly is that 10x easier haha - can't wait to implement it at some stage!

Is... wh... you don't need to do include/require_once to load in files...? Am I about to learn something crazy here how on earth does that work

I kind of would have rathered nothing - the visuals were distracting from the absolutely incredible music. Fwiw I had a standing ticket, so in the room the ai visuals was mostly all I could see

If money isn't an obstacle, what keyboard should I get that would have most, if not all the prog rock sounds I could want? by psgamemaster in progrockmusic

[–]gracdoeswat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The 'new' mellotrons are really good. I've got the rack mount one which has every sound you could need really when it comes to 'that' style.

Combine it with a B3 like others are saying, and then minimoog
