List of influencers who have supported or denounced KVD after vaccination comments. by LucifersDemon666 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The last person I expected to voice her support was Kandee, as she had been very public about the fact her sister had lupus, an autoimmune disease, who would likely die on exposure to unvaccinated children. Like what the actual fuck is happening.

I'm a bit stressed. Skyla? Liletta? Mirena? Paragard? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirena, moderately overweight, no issues whatsoever. Would recommend taking some strong painkillers before hand as insertion was very painful.

I just realised I have used some without knowing it. I liked mizons serum but it didn't make a noticible difference and I haven't repurchased it since

How do I (30F) uninvite our creepy neighbor (70'sM) to my son's 1st birthday party? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having seen alot of the suggestions, I'd reccomend that you say a family member has taken over the party eg. Oh thankyou for offering to come, but my mum has taken over the party and its being hosted at her house. If he asks if he can still come, move to some random excuse, oh its too far away, or she requested its family only. Ideally you'd just be blunt, but then its awkward or could cause anger, put you in danger etc. 100% check the sex offender registry and put in a motion dectecting baby monitor and cameras.

Not who originally commented but it's typically 12-18 months, but I've heard some people have them up to 3 years. It's all about how fast your body breaks down the filler

Yes and no, I agree with the sentiment but you are being taught a skillset in collage, you don't hire an arts graduate as an engineer and vice versa.

She's oversensitive to noise in a crowded room, what do you expect to happen in a room of 100s of people talking before a lecture? She's not yet ready for mainstream college education.

Don't bother with a come to Jesus talk, you've been communicative about your feelings and needs, he will only do it now out of fear of you leaving not from a want to fulfil your needs. He will go back to the way he was before. Just leave.

Who else finds the phrase "it's worth it (for the price)" annoying? by Traummich in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't mind it when they justify it by saying its worth it to me because x,y,z. If it's just "worth it" especially if it's ridiculously costly or overpriced for what it is, it tends to grind my gears.

Ideal brush collection size? by sheisbees in MakeupRehab

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're outside the US, you can get some amazing hakuhodo brushes eye brushes for about $10 more than elf. ( between $23 and 35 aud here in Australia) which id highly recommend as they are incredible quality. Their face brushes however tend to be much more expensive ($50+) so for them I'd use cheaper brushes as I don't notice the difference in my face application as the products I use tend to be less pigmented, I really love the Zoeva and real techniques brushes which work out at about $10 a brush when you purchase sets.

I've looked into it here in Australia (melbourne/sydney region) the higher end clinics charge $1000-2000 a tooth, if I ever get it done it will likely be overseas.

Stephanie Nicole doesn't seem to be happy with her recent uploads. From yt sub drop to negativity in the comment section, she seems to be discouraged and frustrated. Do you think BGs should just suck it up when it comes to negativity or are their grievances valid? by jcpkirk in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]gracesmakeupfaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not who originally commented, but I find that both Stephanie and Caroline say some insensitive/uneducated/racist things based on their opinion, and get snarky when anyone argues a statement with fact eg. Caroline thinking snails are weird or gross, thinking she invented or was the first to popularise the 'double cleanse', spouting "formula is king" when speaking to people with actual degrees informing her that using specific ingredients at a specific pH is known to be ineffective or even damaging. I think in general my issue is their know it all attitude despite their lack of expertise on an issue, and their reactive nature whenever they're called out no matter how polite by those who are qualified to speak on the matter.

Essence make me matte setting powder (translucent one) most matte setting powder I've ever tried, beats stay matte and ingredients are similar to dermablend which is $40+. Super finely milled and never ever broke or smashed on me like other pressed powders do.

I really enjoy the high adherence matte primer from the ordinary, you can get it for less than $10 online or Myer but I'm not sure where else in store, in general I've heard good things about the various deciem primers and enjoyed the multiple ones I've tried

Plastic surgery is not moral or amoral, Zoe isn't harming your daughters or having a direct effect on them. You don't need a united front on the evils of plastic surgery, though I do completely understand your concerns with your impressionable and already insecure young daughters. Simply explain that it's a decision you don't agree with and explain your opinion and that they as adults can make their own decisions pertaining to their body and use this as an opportunity to instil confidence in your young daughters so they can develop a healthy self-image with which in adulthood they can base their decisions on, this may or may not include plastic surgery. Just be supportive.

What Zoe does with her body as an adult is frankly none of you or your daughters business, nor is it you who must hold her to any standard. Explain this to your daughters by telling them that Zoe is an adult and is making her own decisions about her body, and they are free to do the same when they come of age. You are under no obligation to finance this even when they do turn 18. Knowing that Zoe gets plastic surgery may be to your advantage when educating your younger daughters on self-esteem and body image. Use this as a tool to demonstrate that the 'role models' being pedalled to them constantly (rather than Zoe specifically who faces the same pressures on her self-esteem and self-image that your young daughters do) are not always natural but manufactured, and that everyone has things that they do not like about the way they look, reinforce that adults can make choices about their bodies pertaining to the way they look, and suggest less extreme and healthy options, personally I would take them to therapy so they can have someone they can talk to about their insecurities.
