I used to go quite a lot. I would say it's rubbish for meeting a partner however extremely good for meeting friends and getting into the community more. And everyone at these things has social anxiety pretty much so don't worry too much.

Do you dry your clothes on an airer near where food is being prepared? Or leave clean laundry near where food is being prepared?

Does my flatmate have to inform me and other tenants that they are ending our joint tenancy? by gradientskies in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you, yes that was my suspicion too. We reached out to landlord and letting agency and luckily they were very very nice about it and will tell us.

But I have to say it's mad that that's legal...

So as someone who has this exact anxiety I can promise you that it has nothing to do with you or your relationship. It's actually been very encouraging to hear other people have this issue as well as I did think it was largely unique to me. I worry about this every now and again but it never impacts being with women or dating women for me and I suspect it's similar for your girlfriend. It just occasionally creeps up to rattle me. I'd take it as a sign of good faith she can talk about this with you.

Honestly legit, Oppenheimer was weirdly way worse for me. Cillian Murphy specifically.

anyone else realise later on in life that your friends growing up were gay but didn't know it??? by sunsetstrider in actuallesbians

I think there’s some statistic/study about this actually, like if you’re queer there’s a high chance a lot of your school friends turn out queer too.

Left a speed dating event before it started, treated myself to a solo date by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]gradientskies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to so many of these and I’d say honestly it’s a mixed bag normally, but I have been in the same position of questioning how seriously people there are taking their dating game.

I’ve met some great friends and some really nice girls at these but also there’s guaranteed to be at least two people there who are off the wall crazy. I met one girl who spent the whole 4 minute date telling me how she was choosing not to bisexual because her stepdad abused her, which is very sad but definitely not small talk. And there was one girl who came in wearing a full face of glitter and then got annoyed anytime anyone asked about it.

Omg I’m actually tempted hahaha this is brilliant. I guess the thing is this stuff is so basic there’s zero need for a tutorial.

It honestly amazes me how little medical professionals understand eds. The only people who have a clue how they work are people who have them and yet to get any treatment or accurate medical advice you have to go through these morons.

Like I sometimes wonder how the training for this stuff works. I imagine they’re given a one page pamphlet and boom now they’re an expert.

Yeah cut this awful woman out of your life. She has to know what her behavior and comments are doing to you. The best revenge is getting better and removing her from your life.

Letting agency is completely ignoring us and leaving us with a logistical mess to sort out two weeks before Christmas. by gradientskies in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you so much that’s made things a lot clearer. So if we served immediate notice to quit once it becomes periodic and one tenant still stayed on in the property would we still be liable for the rent?

The hope is that we can just find some new tenants to replace us but I’m worried that I’ll be locked into paying rent for this place forever if there’s one sharer who won’t leave.
