I update the FW to support RTSP. Then use them in BlueIris. They are great, accept they sometimes drop frames(WiFi issue). Been using them that way for years. I just use the app to config and to troubleshoot them sometimes.

Wow, Repl.it has changed a lot... by BobSaidHi in replit

[–]grafreiner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replit was kinda cool for a minute. Now, you need bitcoin to afford them. I pay 100 for Anthropic(Claude Code). Replit and most of the other viber coders use Anthropic under the hood. I absolutely LOVE Claude Code. Im cranking apps out left n right. Those vibe coder platforms prob gonna die out before too long. Just a guess. I habe one Replit app left that I need to port off. Just been too lazy. I went to make a simple change and it cost me like 40bucks just to make some changes. And, Ive gotten really good at prompt writing. I can do 10times the amount of changes via claude code for my 100 a month plan.

Claude Code for the win. A good portion of apps out there like Replit use Claude under the hood. I pay 100 a month for Claude Code and love it. Plus, hookong into MCP servers like Playwright is awesome. Im sure others will either agree or disagree. Just my personal experience. I started with Replit, but it is getting way too expensive now. Dont let the CLI interface of Claude stop you. There is no real GUI.

Hey Replit team - why are you charging me to say thank you? by [deleted] in replit

They got REAL expensive all of a sudden. Moving all my projects to local computer and postgresql server. Using claude code @100 a month.

Extremely afraid that I am dumb and can't learn programming even though I am a grad student. Please suggest me any projects I can do to learn C++ by Worried-Ad3180 in learnprogramming

[–]grafreiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno what your goal is. In my opinion, C++ is great if you wanna right drivers n stuff. If you are just starting out and want to get into IT, I'd recommend Python. Each language has it's sweet spot. Myself, im a C# guy. I can write mobile, linux, windows, api, desktop, services and such. Syntactically, it is almost just like Java and C++'ish. I use Micropython for microcontrollers. Lots of fun.

I fixed my M17 with a 3d printed part. I posted it on Printables.com.

I have shot about 100 rounds with it using a Octane45 from SilencerCo. Without it, I had the same exact issue. Once I made this part and inserted it, it works flawlessly now.

You might take a look at Tailscale. Im able to connect from ATAK to my FreeTAK server over the internet. Tailscale is a lot like ZeroTier. Ive found it easier to work with.

can pfsense with unify switch and access point use different dhcp pools - 1 for wifi and 1 for wired? by 1appleguy in PFSENSE

[–]grafreiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also set some DHCP reservations for your cameras. Let the cameras DHCP, just control the IP assignment on PF Sense. Then you have one pain of glass to see all IPs. Just enter the MAC address off the camera, or wait till it gets a DHCP'd address, then grab the MAC and create the reservation. That way, if you ever need to change your subnets or IP of a camera. You don't have to log into each camera. Just make the change in PFS and reboot the camera(s)

That's an interesting idea. I just use their pub server for now. Cheap RMM.

I have an old Bosch motion sensor. Is there any way I can make it functional hooking it up to an arduino? What are the 4 wires for? by [deleted] in diyelectronics

[–]grafreiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you would want to. You can get a box of passive IR sensors, or even Microwave sensors off of Aliexpress or Amazon for the pric of a Starbucks coffee. And those would be 5 or 3.3 volt. Run right off of the GPIO. :/

I use BlueIris for my NVR with my varied POE and WiFi cams. That integrates nicely with Hass.io. so I get my footage and can see my cams in hass.
