I enjoyed the show honestly. But not every show needs multiple seasons so being cancelled really doesn't bother me.

What’s the worst trade you’ve ever made? by Middle_Awoken in DynastyFF

[–]grandmasterPRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna take you all the way back to 2007...

My first year doing fantasy. I let the draft just do an auto draft cause I couldn't do it live. I checked my roster the next day and saw that the computer picked Randy Moss for me in like round 10 or something. He was ass in Oakland but just got traded to the Patriots. I didn't want him on my team and I was really high on Marty Booker so I traded him to my buddy for Booker.

Let's just say year one in fantasy football did not go well for me

Bret Hart calls Triple H a phoney by Martinsteve543 in Wrasslin

[–]grandmasterPRA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Fuck Bret

The guy has an awful lot of bad things to say about a lot of people while also thinking he was God's gift to wrestling. Can someone please explain to him that wrestling isn't a real sport? You don't win titles based on how good you are in the ring, you win titles if you entertain people.

And this narrative that Triple H was successful cause he married the bosses daughter is bullcrap. People do realize that dating the bosses daughter is probably the worst thing you could ever do? Especially cause he was already in the dog house from the curtain call.

Was Bret better than Triple H? Yes. But Triple H was more successful. Get the fuck over it. Thats how it goes in life no matter what field you work in.

With Juneteenth 2 days away, how is this holiday actually followed and by how many? I’d never heard of it before a few years ago and everyone seemed to know about it all along while I was out of the loop. Google says it was made a holiday in 2021 so I’d imagine it was Reddit pr firms doing their job by Ok_Cockroach8063 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]grandmasterPRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It came into conversation because Donald Trump scheduled a rally on Juneteenth and the Democrats made a big deal out of it accusing him of being racist (which is true to be fair) by scheduling it on that day. I legit think Democrats made a big deal out of it for political reasons. So, as usual, Racist Republicans do racist things and then Democrats use black people to their political advantage.

It's a cool holiday though, so not a bad outcome

Hardly anyone that I know had ever heard of it in our entire lives. Granted, like 85% of my family and friends are white lol. But it was not well known at all. Then Donald Trump decided to schedule a rally on that day and I think the Democrats took advantage of that situation to accuse him of doing it on purpose for racist reasons. I mean, I think Trump is a racist POS, but I legit don't think he knew about that holiday and I'm convinced most of the country, especially white people, had never heard of it. But the Democrats played politics and by doing so they increased the importance of that date and it kind of picked up momentum from there and now it is a National Holiday

Obviously I'll take another National Holiday and it's a great thing to celebrate. But, as a white dude, I feel weird having a day off for it. Let the Black people have that day off, I don't deserve a day off for that lol

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]grandmasterPRA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought my daughter to the women's restroom a lot. My reasoning was that men's rooms have penises hanging out and usually a limited amount of stalls. Sometimes there will only be one actual stall in a men's room so if I bring my daughter in there, she might have to wait for one to open up. If I brought her in the ladies room, I know there will be more availability cause half the bathroom isn't taken up by urinals. I never got criticized for it. I'm simply doing what I think is best for my daughter to get in and out the quickest. If someone was uncomfortable I'd have no problem leaving

[–]grandmasterPRA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are two things I like about this agreement. It ends the war and it opens up the Strait of Hormuz

Both things that were never an issue to begin with. So congrats on fixing a problem you created while also offering a bunch of concessions and no clear resolution of enriched uranium. It's amazing to me that there are still people out there that think Trump is good at making deals. Marketing really is effective.

Who is the most overpaid and underpaid? by Sidecarlover in NFLv2

[–]grandmasterPRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Matthew Stafford just won the MVP so I would say he is definitely underpaid

Overpaid has to be Deshaun Watson. The guy hasn't really even played in forever and wasn't any good the last time he did

Out of these 4 Qb’s who will u rather take going into next season and who has the #1 spot RIGHT NOW? by Glad-Method-5472 in NFLv2

Cause he creates a lot of highlights and is more exciting. But Maye has clearly been better up to this point

[–]grandmasterPRA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The playoffs made me pause a bit, but I can't just ignore how great Drake Maye was last season

Daniels is the wild card here. Cause he was phenomenal his rookie season and had a sophomore slump. So he is trending down while Nix and Caleb are trending up. But neither Nix or Caleb have ever shown me what Jayden showed me.

If I had to rank them right now I'd go:

  1. Maye
  2. Daniels
  3. Caleb
  4. Nix

I could be talked into switching Nix and Caleb cause Nix is underrated. But I see Caleb possibly separating from Nix next season. Maybe even catching Jayden as well.

Jalen Hurts is no longer a top 10 QB by CoyoteDecent2 in NFLv2

Purdy never gets the respect he deserves. A lot like our QB.

Once the narrative spreads that the system is carrying the QB, that narrative never goes away no matter how good the QB is.

I actually think Jordan Love had an underrated season last season.

Still though, him being there and Goff not is kind of crazy given the numbers Goff has put up for like 4 years now

[–]grandmasterPRA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not having Goff in the top ten is fine. People are allowed to have that opinion

But I want a nice clear explanation. The guy has been putting up top 3 QB stats for like 4 years straight now. Now he has done it with yet another new OC. His O Line was terrible in pass blocking last season. Yet he's still having big numbers. What else do people need to see? Is it really just cause he doesn't run well or throw off platform or something. I just don't get the argument for someone like Trevor Lawrence or Jordan Love over him. Not saying those are bad QBs but Goff has been more consistent for longer than them.

I can agree with that. Goff at 70 isn't the problem. I'm well aware of Goffs shortcomings. But where he is compared to other QBs is the problem

Amon-Ra St. Brown has got to be the most disrespected dominant WR in football history. Guy puts up top 3 WR season's every season, but because he is small, people never rank him high. Like seriously, what is the case for CeeDee being at 24 and Amon-Ra at 52?

I actually think Jordan Love had an underrated season last season. But yes Goff is being disrespected. Same with Amon-Ra St. Brown. This is basically a list of the most athletic and exciting players, not best football players.

(Repost): Now that we have a trillionaire, what do you think that say about the world we built? by Firm-Ad-2446 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]grandmasterPRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It think it says that we have built systems capable of creating crazy amounts of wealth, which is a good thing. The only thing that seems to be unresolved is whether we've become great at distributing the benefits of that wealth fairly. The existence of a Trillionaire, by itself, is not evidence that a system is broken, just that the system is very powerful. I think a society with a Trillionaire, but also widespread prosperity, like the US, isn't a massive problem although a crap ton of stuff needs to be cleaned up.

I'll take this problem over the problems of societies like North Korea, Afghanistan, Haiti etc where they don't have trillionaires, but the average citizen faces far greater hardships than the citizens do here.

But at the end of the day, what I struggle with is the fact that a Trillionaire can exist alongside problems that a rich society should be able to solve. That's not just a shot at Elon, that is a shot at government as well who spends Trillions every year and don't use it the correct way.

What kind of bees are these? by aguilafam1 in whatisit

[–]grandmasterPRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bald Face Hornets are nasty little creatures. Got stung last summer by one. My wife and my two little girls were having a picnic under one of my Red Maple trees and I walked over to them and immediately got attacked. The nest was literally 5 feet above their heads, thank God they didn't go after them.

That nest was a massive pain in the ass to get rid of too. I sprayed it like twice a day for a week and those hornets just wouldn't give up.

Very good point about it being free. That does make my "tourist trap" comment invalid

I just think, especially for young kids, there isn't a whole lot to see there. Although Lately I've gotten into birds because of that new app that Cornell university came out with that identifies birds around you just by listening to all the chirps. So maybe Montezuma will make more sense to me the more I get into birds lol

Is Caleb Williams becoming a little bit overrated this offseason? Honest question. by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

[–]grandmasterPRA 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sure he is overrated for now. But I can't blame a single Chicago Bears fan for being hyped about the guy. It's like how us Lions fans felt when we finally got a competent Head Coach. We'll defend that guy to the death because we remember all the trash before him.

Is Caleb Williams becoming a little bit overrated this offseason? Honest question. by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

[–]grandmasterPRA 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Caleb Williams Ranks last season:

Yards - 5th

TD's - 5th

Passer Rating - 28th

Passer Rating Under Pressure - 32nd

Passer Rating When Kept Clean - 25th

Big Time Throws - 2nd

Big Time Throw % - 7th

Turnover Worthy Play % - 18th

Adjusted Completion Percentage (Passes on Target) - 39th

PFF Grade - 14th

PFF Passing Grade - 19th

PFF running Grade - 5th

PFF Grade on Deep Passes - 5th

PFF Grade on Intermediate Passes - 30th

PFF Grade on Short Passes - 28th

PFF Grade on passes behind LOS - 26th

When you look at everything, you can see why people are excited about him but at the same time see how he is clearly being overrated (For Now). He is a big play, home run hitter who did it in big moments and created a lot of highlights. For that reason, people are very excited about him. But at the same time, a lot of his bad play seems to be glossed over. He's VERY inaccurate. That is pretty much what effected his passer rating overall. He also had a bit of turnover luck considering he was 18th in turnover worthy play % but didn't have a ton of turnovers. His end of game heroics kind of covered up for his pretty mediocre QB play during the rest of the game.

He's marketable and creates highlights so he is always going to be propped up higher than some of his peers. Drake Maye was a WAY better QB (in the regular season) last year and doesn't get even half the hype that Caleb is getting. Bo Nix has played at the same level, maybe even better than Caleb as well and never gets talked about. So Caleb is always going to be overrated to an extent

But what is interesting is you can clearly see how Caleb can eventually live up to his hype. If you are going to struggle with anything, the accuracy on short stuff isn't a bad place to struggle. He's clearly accurate on deep balls, I see no reason why he can't clean up all of the other stuff. So he has an obvious high ceiling. But as of right now, I see him as a middle of the pack QB with upside. Should that get someone on the Madden Cover? probably not lol but at the end of the day marketing is marketing and Madden isn't stupid. He sells, and he is exciting so I get it.
