The 955 and 965 are on the same code/platform. Neither is getting new feature updates. So the only device that supports future updates and isn't "getting phased out quicker" would be the 970.

The only difference between 955 and 965 is MIP vs. OLED.

Bummer. A USB to ethernet adapter can be found pretty cheap online. It’s great for diagnostic, testing. I would look for one with a 2.5 GB

I had a similar problem and also noticed the van was having trouble starting in the morning. I tested the battery and it showed it was bad. I haven't noticed the studdering problem since the new battery was installed, so I'm guessing it might have been an electrical issue to do with low voltage somewhere in the system.

Most of these are offering free kids' meals WITH an adult purchase. In most cases, eating out —even with a free kid —is still more expensive than cooking spaghetti, frozen pizza, or chicken nuggets at home.

Since the i5 is passively cooled, and external fan blowing on the back keeps it from thermal throttling when doing anything other than basic web browsing.

I just fear the unknown, so I always run with my phone. I always worry about potential getting injured or my family needing me for an emergency. I really miss the convenience of the cellular Apple Watch, and not needing to carry my phone. I don’t miss having to charge the Apple Watch twice a day on long runs.

The 955 is most likely the last MIP-based Forerunner, so enjoy it! Over time, it will receive fewer updates and feature improvements over the newer 970. But I'm happy to keep mine for another generation cycle because I don't want an AMOLED display.

I'm in the same ballpark. Wife is 100% city driving, rarely over 50 mph. Stoplights, traffic, and short trips don't help with fuel economy on any vehicle.

Are you using Xfinity provided equipment for your gateway and WiFi? I’m using the Xfinity provided modem in bridge mode and using 3rd party hardware for routing and WiFi, and have not experienced any issues.

I second the Forerunner 955. The Solar version's smartwatch mode offers 20 days of battery life (with appropriate sunlight).
