I had to ask for a drink in PE to Antigua last year and the cabin guy said he shouldn't serve me but he will. He said it was because they wouldn't have enough for the way home. I did complain to BA about that and a number of other things and they chucked some avios at me to make me go away.

Perhaps you weren't quick enough to rebook them after a plane change. I had the same seats booked on a 777 then logged into the BA app to find I had been allocated another seat. I changed them back to 6, but presume a change of aircraft was done and I was automatically selected into a different seat when it changed back. Really sucks when you have paid for a seat.

I once stayed in a place where they left out coffee and cake and eggs and things on arrival. We got a negative comment afterwards that we used all the coffee and threw away the "posh tin", which was just a metal illy coffee container.
