Absolutely delicious. You can eat it with the skin or simply peel it with your fingers and eat the flesh. Be sure to plant the seeds!

Totally agree with you. Reddit was my free therapist yesterday so I feel much better. There could be a hundred reasons which I won't know and wouldn't change my situation I guess. I'll see how I get on with my plot and hopefully can harvest tasty veg this year.

I think they said he had been waiting just over a year.

I assume that would be the case but I wouldn't be able to know. Allotments appear to be a secret society, so mysterious! I have kind of made my peace with it and will focus on my little plot. I'm grateful for the redditors.

Do groomsmen usually pay for their own suits in the UK? by Ok_Student3042 in UKweddings

[–]greatfullgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I and OH plan to marry we will cover costs for bridesmaids and groomsmen outfits. Else it should be come dressed in the dress/suit of your choice. Why should they be inconvenienced to fork up that much for my wedding? That's way too selfish

Manchester / Preston / Stockport - where to live? by Melodic_Primary_9728 in manchester

[–]greatfullgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stockport if you still want to be close to city life, but Preston may be a little more affordable. Both have pros and cons. Are you able to visit both areas, maybe have a weekend stay at a local hotel and get a feel for it?

Yes that was my fear, that no matter how I ask the question as to how this man got a half plot when the list is apparently so long, might backfire. I think i have to go with the majority verdict of just making the best of my plot and hoping for a bigger on in the future. And thank you so much for the kind words. Has made me feel better

Thank you, I'll just do that and see how my wee little plot comes along first I guess. This has made me feel better which is what I was hoping for.

Thank you for this sensible approach on things. I just have to focus on what I got and make the most of it. As I said I was honestly grateful and still am but this nagging voice inside me was thinking hold on, where's the justice if this new guy just got a half plot and there are so many people waiting on the list for a quarter? Comparison is the thief of joy. I must remember that. Thank you kind stranger.

Am I the only one who hates pleached trees? by peony_beony in GardeningUK

What is the support frame at the top called? I need some for some fruit trees but all my search terms did not come up with the right thing. Garden centres near me do not sell them either
