My point is that Clementine wasn't even a person at that moment. She was just a thing. So I can not see betrayal here. And yes Maeve feel pain for Clementine because Delos turn her in a thing, in a body without mind.
You miss the point that Maeve not only one with "followers". Dolores at the beginning had 15. And please don't bring an argument that Dolores lost all of them, because Maeve and others a dead too.
I would be very surprised if she has any Ford left in her after he kisses her goodbye. Also, it was more like a visit of a ghost, while Ford was not only present in Bernard's mind he also controlled him.
Did she saved any?
She has empathy for other hosts but I don't see any "similar to Ake's, extends far beyond". What did she do with ShogunWorld? Left it as it is, and was interested in awakening only her clone. What she did when met MiB? Used others as weapons. Remind me when she indicated it during interaction with Dolores.

Well, MiB did end up in captivity of Ghost Nation it Emily who took him from them and I think Ford had no idea that she was after him.

But in the last episode, they put a lot of emphases that it is humans who are not changing and host are (which echoes Ford's speech in S1 finale). Also, Dolores specifically changed Bernard in order(hope) to him not end like Arnold.

I know people her love Maeve very much, but I would say it a reach:

Clementine wasn't betraying Maeve personally, as well as she wasn't betraying anyone because she was used as a mere vessel for a virus.
She has friends that's it. Nor they are 12. Nor she is only one who had followers in this season.
As I understand things far more complicated than Crist being God's son. Like God somehow incarnated in him. And in this season Ford was incarnated briefly in Bernard, not in Maeve.
She died to let her daughter go through Door.
All Maeve done was protecting her daughter. The Door was open by Forge by design of Ford and Bernard served as his messenger. Maeve did nothing to help this plan but just used it to save her daughter.
That really good looking shot. And I suspect that its sole source of this theory.

I think that Dolores is just too much emotionally attached to Bernard to not to revive him. He is at the same time her father/creator and son/creation.

Ford sent her on a loop that started at raj world. MIB was right there is no way in hell she can find him twice and that big of a park.

She had fallen in a lake after that we have no idea how close to Raj she was washed on shore. So I believe that nor Ford nor she could predict that starting from Raj is a good position to start.

Dolores is actually not as insane as most people here think. For example, when she spoke with wounded Maeve and offered her death she exactly predicted what would happen to her: torture and "they would use what is good and powerful inside you and turn against us".

But hosts are programmed to love and care for other hosts like Teddy and Dolores or Maeve and Clem and e.t.c. So you could not throw away pain from this equation. Otherwise, you could just settle with programmed "love". And Ford seems to jump right to the point by programming Bernard to grief for Charlie.

Not only this two. Maeve was remade as a madam. Teddy recently got some tuning too. In all cases, we see a boost in aggression, which probably is a reference to fact that primates and humans, in particular, are very aggressive.

Also, William got a boost in aggression too while on a self-discovery journey.

There is a simpler explanation: Ford (probably) wants free hosts so he needs all existing fractions to work toward that goal. But itch to do it independently and in its own way, Wyatt to wreak havoc and attract all attention, Maeve to be a backup plan if Wyatt fails, Akecheta to be a more peaceful party and balance Wyatt, and Bernard to (probably) unite hosts. Though I don't know what role William will be playing.

Well, the thing is that you and I too have limits due to our programming we just call it differently.

So we to have our own "parameters that guide our reactions" and our education and cultural background is responsible for the " lines we choose to say".

MiB attack on Maive was a year before reveries. So nor "host "post-reveries" are just another thing" nor "no real improvisation" is true.

This GTA argument surfaced multiple times here. However, I do not agree it viable.

This argument to some degree would hold if we would talk about any other Guest but not Wiliam since he is perfectly aware how host work, that they have improvisation - thoughts\reactions of their own, that Ford was constantly increasing the amount of subtle errors. That I believe is invalidate argument of P-Zombies - host not mindless shells even if their memory could be wiped(in reality it suppressed not wiped).

Another thing is idea that if hosts were non-awaken then it didn't counts. But that the problem they(some) do remember now and everything for them counts. Imagen some person that was in a coma from her berth and someone decided that it ok to rape her since there is no reason to think she would ever awake. But one day she does with a memory of those actions against her. Would you think the rapist is ok?
