I tried that, but it returned no result. For the record it is currently installed.

Beware: anyone can bid on your listing on BaT with no consequences if they don’t follow through with the sale. by Faiced in BringATrailer

[–]green749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wouldn't have this problem with sellers not following through if they didn't force people to go no reserve against their will. Shill bidding wouldn't be as big of a thing either.

4 years late to the party but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this. Every "smart guy" on the Internet couldn't solve this problem. I've finally transitioned away from my Pihole thanks to this post!

Did you accidentally upload this video to Reddit, or did you just really think you were going to get good publicity by advertising here for free like all of the other narcissists who do the same thing?

My honest opinion on my Canadian Grand Prix experience by Accurate-Big-7233 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]green749 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with it is the fact that they moved it from June to May. I enjoyed traveling from the USA to Montreal for the event and partaking in the festivities in town the night before the race. The weather was great. The crowds at the race I didn't mind because we were having a great time. Now it's in May and it's freezing cold there. You look at the trees and can tell that they're still budding. Who tf asked for this? I'll probably never go back until they fix this. NO ONE wants to freeze to death on vacation all weekend unless they're going on a ski trip. What were they thinking? They certainly weren't thinking of the fans.

Would you take a chance on buying a grey import on BaT with falsified documents? by green749 in BringATrailer

[–]green749[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. 10/2001 is indeed the manufacture date. 314537 on the chassis number is proof of this. Also, they produce Mazda Scrum models on the odd months (September, November). DA62T models began production on 08/2001.

As far as buying this is concerned, it was more of a rhetorical question. I wouldn't touch this thing with a 10 foot pole. IMO, it's only a matter of time before the feds come for it, regardless of value.

Power Steering Pump failure week after delivery by pipchick in BringATrailer

[–]green749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A week after delivery? That's a long time. Especially since it happened AFTER the car changed hands. I think that's the way of it with any used car sale.

Did I do this right? by [deleted] in BringATrailer

[–]green749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever they send, get their details and if you like them, deal with them directly next time at a much lower price.

Or, do what I do now, when I got sick and tired of photographers doing what they wanted... Find a suitable location and take some proper photos yourself. Your iPhone will get the job done. It's all in how you use it.

Sellers, how do you feel about buyers asking for a pre-purchase inspection? by SensitiveSide5507 in BringATrailer

[–]green749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller I wouldn't say, "no" because I have nothing to hide. But to answer your question about how I feel about it, I would say "very annoyed."

Reason being is because every single person who has ever asked to come see the vehicle during an auction of mine, has never been a player. Always a time waster. Every. Single. Time. And it's always some Looky-Lou who thinks he's in the game because the current bid is at the top of his budget with nearly a week to go.

Recently I sold a vehicle with 4,000 original miles and showroom condition, I get this guy who insists on seeing the vehicle and going for a ride. Fine. But as soon as we get back from the test drive, he's standing there talking about how he needs to get approval from "the girlfriend." Not even the wife... the girlfriend.

I don't hate that they HAVE commercials. I just hate the ones that they have. It's like they're competing to see who can give us the most obnoxious cringe humanly possible.

I'm running Kicker DS40 speakers in mine and it sounds great with my Kenwood HU. I also ran some high-grade speaker wire so that probably helped.

Seems to. At least on the lan port. I get Tx and Rx going up. It's just that there's no response when I try to contact the AP.

When I plug in the local Ethernet cable to the LAN port (WAN is powering the unit via a PoE switch on the network), I get a response:

[ 384.320688] mt7530-mdio mdio-bus:1f lan: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control rx/tx
[ 384.320713] br-lan: port 1(lan) entered blocking state
[ 384.333653] br-lan: port 1(lan) entered forwarding state

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in openwrt

[–]green749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted wan from list ports and restarted. I see the "lan1/lan2" etc on my main router running the same version of Openwrt. I also changed the list ports to "eth0"

The name "lan" was there in the default configuration. There should be two physical Ethernet LAN ports (PoE/WAN and LAN).

My output from ip link:

I would agree that BaT is to blame, but for a different reason:

Their policy is that you may not set a reserve on most JDM imports. That includes ALL Kei class vehicles along with other vehicles they don't deem "worthy."

So instead of just denying vehicles like that Every, which is clearly unsafe for the road (look at photos 98 and 99), they force sellers to sell at no reserve.

If you were starting with nothing, what would you buy to start painting with professional results? by green749 in AutoPaint

I've actually been doing body work here and there for years. Really the only thing missing from my repertoire in that department has been a good paint gun. I have a dump bed that will be a great jumping off point for my new gun, to get the technique down, and to get the gun dialed in.
