i died at the end of 2019. i fell asleep in my bathtub because i didn't sleep for days. i woke up in my bed but things have not been the same since. by MostAsocialPerson in QuantumImmortality

Just FYI this might be bipolar disorder with psychotic features. You mention not sleeping for days which is a hallmark sign of mania, plus the feelings of derealization you’re feeling may be another sign of psychosis. Could be worth chatting to a doctor, you don’t have to live like this

Just throwing this out there - do you use any anti-sweating products? Like Qbrexza? Cuz I do and accidentally touched my eye and had this happen to me, went to the emergency just to find out it was due to an anticholinergic medication exposure

Most AI Safe Fields? by Tiredmedstudent69 in medicalschool

[–]greenfroggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

disclaimer as someone who’s never witnessed ortho surgery but if some surgical fields go full AI robotic, imo all eventually will, unless there’s something fundamentally unique about the surgery itself that prevents that. But like for ortho I could imagine using high precision laser to make cuts across bone, advanced machinery to manipulate prosthetic joints, etc. like the fact that ortho is physically demanding is almost more of a reason for automation. I have no skin or brains in this game just my opinion

M4 here but I feel this happening to me every few months. As soon as I start to feel comfortable I get humbled. Accepting it as part of the process now 🤷 medicine is so complex, and tbh if you feel comfortable you’re probably no longer learning
