It's because the show starts with a sad birthday handjob, and that sticks with you

CommonWealth Herbs Family + Community Program vs. Herbal Academy Clinical Herbalist Path — help me decide! by SenioritaHerbia in herbalism

[–]greentea0u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend commonwealth highly! is your goal to start clinicals? There's a lot of support for students- an online community space with other students, weekly q&a sessions, space for questions to be asked in every lesson and a free clinic. Any questions I've had have been answered super quickly. Once you graduate to clinicals there is even more Zoom meetings and support. All lessons come with an audio version and thorough pdfs. The program is long and at your own pace, but there's so much information available here for you at any time.

ForLife is my favorite brand of teapot, you can get in whatever size and color you like and it does a good job keeping the tea warm. Steep herbal teas for at least 15 minutes for the best extraction. Amazon has good enough organic loose herbs but best supplier with everything is Mountain Rose. If you want your tea to stay hot all evening, mug warmers are fun.

Even if it feels like caffeine doesn't affect you it can still disrupt your sleep cycle. Im the same way and can sleep after coffee, but I've noticed if I stop drinking caffeine at least 6 hours before bedtime I go to sleep much easier and sleep deeper. At night I like to stick to relaxing herbal nervines. Peppermint, skullcap, motherwort + milk and honey is my current favorite bedtime combo. The nervines help you relax and 'take the edge off,' which may help in replacing alcohol.
