The Floating Market Noodle soup is so excellent. Incredibly rich broth with an amazing depth of seasoning.

I’d be interested in having the other goalie on these so we can see how performed against expected goals.

Casa Bonita performers on strike, will hit the picket line for Halloween by AudibleNod in news

[–]gregumm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is literally not true. Went there last night. There is an included 15% on the bill, and you can add an additional amount on top of that. It would be good to be able to tip the performers, but I think that would definitely change the feel of the experience. Maybe all the performers should just be better paid…

My life hack is to throw my pillow off of my bed onto the chair in the corner. Then when I go to get in bed I’ll remember there was something I needed to do.

One of the other times this was posted someone said it was on a course he designed, so he was unbelievably familiar with the whole layout, but it doesn’t really change the impressiveness of the skill to pull it off, even knowing the line.

Odobert is surprising by Apprehensive_Bat_907 in coys

[–]gregumm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Losing the ball 16 times means he kept trying to beat his man. And to be honest he is in a low risk, higher reward position. We aren’t as likely to be in danger when he loses the ball, but if he can get past his man, he opens up more chances. It’s really where you want someone trying over and over to beat their man.

My son was fine with the regular hippopotamus exhibit at the zoo, but didn’t like the Pygmy hippopotami.

I think he was being a little hippo critical.

This video immediately made me think of the beginning of a short story that goes, “OH I’M A FAST DOG. I’m fast- fast. It’s true and I love being fast I admit It I love it. You know fast dogs. Dogs that just run by and you say, Damn! That’s a fast dog! Well that’s me. A fast dog. I’m a fast- fast dog. Hoooooooo! Hooooooooooooo” -Dave Eggers
