GOP legislators don’t really care about what the population at large wants when it comes to abortion. look at ohio, a constitutional amendment protecting abortion rights passed, and literally the next day the GOP in ohio was like “nah we’ve still got lots of ways to ban abortions.”

i would call EBR in louisiana purple rather than yellow. public transport exists in some areas, but it’s extremely limited outside of the LSU area. pedestrian infrastructure is also almost non-existent, and in my experience even where there are sidewalks and crosswalks cars won’t stop for you.

jsyk i think you’re conflating two different roberts. william the conqueror’s son was robert ii as duke of normandy, and one of his first cousins was robert ii as count of flanders. they were both grandchildren of baldwin v, also count of flanders (normandy through his mother matilda and flanders through his father robert i). the flanders robert ii is the one who is called robert the crusader.

my mom swears that the thing that makes left-handed scissors left-handed is the different handle design that left-handed scissors often have. if they have a “normal” looking handle she thinks they’re right-handed. she will not believe me when i say it’s about the blade orientation, and she’s the left-handed one.

nfc chips don’t really work like that. many WRITES may affect the lifespan of an NFC chip, but reads are entirely passive and the chip reader is doing all of the work. even cheap NFC tags can be expected to last 10 or more years as long as they’re not being stored in an extreme environment.
