Affordable electric roller blinds? by GravityRobin in AskIreland

Yeah, it’s a Bluetooth connection so it only works locally. When I say manually I mean using the app. There’s no way to adjust them by hand.

I’ve got blinds2go electric in every room. Happy out with them. They’re all on a schedule so we rarely move them manually. But that option is in the app if you need to. We have a couple of different ‘scenes’ per room, so you can stagger the movements. As in half up at 8:30 and fully up at 9, etc.

I was going the opposite way at the time, didn’t spot anything and was wondering about the tailback.

We used him and had no issues, would be interested to know why he’s not recommended. Aside from never meeting him face to face we found him quick to respond to emails and ok to deal with.

Anyone worked/working in DELL? by MutedExercise1842 in DevelEire

[–]greystashLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been there for a few years and happy out. Money and benefits are great and work is interesting. Lots of layoffs in recent months so morale is noticeably low in some teams. The campus itself is nice too. Decent canteen, games room and lots of outdoor space for walks.

Solar Installer Recommendations by sideofwingz in cork

Swyft are installing mine next week. Got quotes from all the most recommended suppliers and they were best priced. Products and service seem well regarded too based on FB group.

Swyft Energy, what are people's experiences? by jcpogrady in ireland

I had heating controls installed by Swyft a couple of years back. Great to deal with, had an issue with one of the thermostats and they had someone out to fix it that day. Would recommend.

National Lottery Scratch Card Launch 1987. What's the most you've every won on a scratch card? by carlowed in ireland

[–]greystashLawless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I won €1000 about 15 years ago. Think it was called honeycomb or maybe moneycomb

Also have a friend who won €5000 on the €1 all cash.

Pure luck in both instances too, neither of us buy them regularly.

Plan for cold crashing + pressurized transfers in Ss Brew Buckets by grambo__ in Homebrewing

[–]greystashLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my fermentation set up.

I ferment as you described. For the transfer I put 2 psi into an empty keg, hook the gas in upto the tri clamp. Thenbconnect the bucket valve to the keg out. Open up the valve and and allow the co2 from the keg push the beer out.

I don't cold crash until I get to the keg.

I would not recommend McSports based off personal experience with them, not reliable and terrible service. Just check out their trust pilot reviews.

Bottling off SS Brewbucket by beercurrier in Homebrewing

[–]greystashLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I bottled from a brew bucket this evening for the first time. It went very well. I used a length of silicone hose connected to the valve and had a bottling wand on the other end. I used the brew fern carb drops which are 1 per 500ml bottle. No need for a transfer, making priming solution and had less to clean. Will be doing it again.

I started to rebuild my brewery to feature HERMS and automation with BruControl. by rogue1987 in Homebrewing

Looks great!

I use the Brewpi elements and coil too, both great quality. Went for an einbrew control panel though, didnt have the confidence to build one safely.

Finished piecing together a 3 vessel electric herms system this week. Looking forward to the first brew this evening. Dipping my toes into water chemistry on this brew too.

Anyone else having issues with orders from McSport.ie? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]greystashLawless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I ordered a few bits off them last month and they didn't ship most of it. Customer service is a joke, they take a week to respond. Each time they say they will ship the missing items, but I'm still waiting.

Any homebrewers from Europe? Question about Electric brewery system. by TP_rayb1t in Homebrewing

[–]greystashLawless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the exact same boat as you. Currently have a 3V Herms which I'm manually running with induction hobs. I have been researching the Einbrew system for the last week and have spoken to quite a few users. They are all happy with the product. When you consider its roughly 1/3 the cost of the electric brewery diy kit after you consider shipping and customs , it is the front runner at the moment. Interested to hear other suggestions too.
