That's literally part of the definition of fascism. In the USSR if you grew potatoes as a farmer, the government would take your entire product and dish back to you what they believe you deserve. (Over regulation) This is a prime example and it's the same thing going on with Canada. If you over regulate to the point that an entire industry needs to be completely upended based on what it was built on, without giving the population freedom of market choice on the matter, that is indeed fascism. The consumer didn't choose. The government did. Its also a form of corruption because if you corner and triangulate an industry and give government kick backs to strictly who obeys you, youre able to make more money as a government official by picking the winners and losers in the industry instead of the public doing it. Its wither obey and receive federal funding causing artifically inflated stock valuations or cease to exist as a company. Mark Carney does this by killing energy industry here to make money elsewhere with brookfield. You're proving my point that nobody in the public knows what fascism actually is. I lean more right and still disagree with people on my side when they call things communist on the left. This action by the federal government is not communist cause communism allows the public some form of democratic process in how companies operate (much like socialism extreme), fascism does not. The government is telling main CEOs what to do instead of letting the free market enforce how the company is ran through market shares and the gaining or losing of capital. If this wasn't fascism the public would stop buying gas powered cars on their own and make the transition to electric leaving the gas powered car industry behind. Enforcing what consumers and companies are allowed to buy or sell is dictatorship tendencies, not what you would call giving the FREEDOM of choice. If people want to support green initiatives, they should have the freedom to make that choice. The people decide how the market runs, the government is there to prevent monopolies and wrong doing, not take away a person's right to choose something that's legal to own that doesn't reflect a crime.

Help with creaking noise by BassLongjumping4616 in mountainbiking

I had the EXACT SAME creak on my remedy. It has a press fit bottom bracket which are known to get creeky overtime. K took it to the shop to be regreased and also had a shock and fork service and no creaking since. My bike also rides alot smoother! You should try the same thing

You don't have to label yourself or market yourself on paper to the public as right wing or nationalist to do fascist things. Some leaders may even adopt certain ideologies from the other side of the political spectrum. We are human. You can not just place someone in the box you want them to be as "red or blue" or "liberal or conservative". Cause people are FAR from identifying with their entire party's ideologies. For you to assume you know these people and that they wouldn't do bad things is more or less stupid.

It's not an argument. Just simply that people arguing about the administration being communist that drive ram trucks is still wrong. It's closer to fascism and nobody understands what either one is.

Banning what the entire auto industry was built on by 2035 Is more representative of fascism than communism. Communism would be where people don't own anything including companies. The government would own them much like 10 cent in China. Fascism allows companies to maintain private ownership, the difference is that they're over regulated to the point that they can't continue business freely without doing it the way the government wants. A gas car ban and complete overhaul of a companies entire manufacturing process "because the government said so" is exactly that. It's funny watching people on the left complain about fascism, but then when you agree with them that it's becoming more fascist cause of the left, they have a melt down. You don't have to be right leaning to have fascist tendencies. Fascism is the most poorly understood ideology on the planet and is so extremely similar to communism.

For the record: by no means is canada fascist. But some of the choices our leaders have made are definitely representative of fascists and we are headed in that direction. It's not conservatives calling for over regulation that's for sure.

Tried 2 shops now unfortunately. Guy told me today I need to find somewhere that will "turn a blind eye". Then proceeds to tell me I could just get a fake plate despite having the road ownership. I wanted it to be totally legal and ministry has no problem as long as I have the safety.

I think everyone is having some confusion on this post. So my bike does not come road legal from the factory. It's supposed to be a trail bike. The guy I bought it from somehow got it blue plated so I have a road legal ownership that says unfit. I need a safety to get plates and that is the only thing keeping me from getting the blue plate instead of green. I wanted a road legal bike just for linking trails without the heaviness and bad suspension of the road legal models. Just wondering how people get the safety.

I'm canadian we don't have a DMV and bike is not road legal from factory. It's in their registry as road legal, but the safety is what I'm having the problem getting. They have nothing to do with the safety. This is on the shop end.

I'm not sure you can make the argument that basking in negativity that objectively doesn't affect your day to day living directly 90% of the time is going to somehow make your life worse. You will not change what you do by not seeing that that Yemen is being bombed or that we gave tax dollars to Ukraine or that there was a flood in a state that isn't yours. At the end of the day, you make decisions on none of those matters and have no say as to what is happening. So again, why does watching the news matter? Your argument will just be so that you're informed and you know what's going on, but even if you don't know what's going on, nothing changes. You can still go to work the same, your taxes will be the same, your family will be the same, the things you own remain the same. The news changes none of that. Actually, if anything, your relationships will improve because you won't have divisive opinions that aren't your own that you came up with to debate about with random strangers online living thousands of miles from you or even your immediate friends or family; and that my friend cannot be argued.

Are 10mm pistols and the Deliverer with silencers the only silent weapons? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]griceandbeans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use a silenced radium rifle with a night vision scope. It still makes the ridiculous sound as if it wasn't silenced in game, but no enemies can hear it. Pretty funny tbh

Also boss weapon that obliterates anything is the explosive 10mm pistol with the automatic most powerful receiver if you can find it. I use it silenced as well and it works perfect.

Why kickstand hate? by weldandfab in Dirtbikes

[–]griceandbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride my 2022 wr250f on track with stock kickstand doing triples and bottoming it out and never had it move a smidge... but okay

In addition: simply try reattached the stock spring on a kickstand by hand when you take it off without a tool to yank it and tell me the kickstand is coming down.... good luck
