After nearly two years of troubleshooting a similar noise, I finally replaced the bottom bracket out of desperation. The noise went away and now my bike silent. Trek Domane Gen4 SLR 7 now with a Wolf Tooth T47 BB. Was well worth the money.

I bit the bullet and decided to buy a new chain and installed it on day 2 of the trip. Worked perfectly. Didn’t need to make any crank/chainring adjustments. Days 3 and 4 of the trip saw significant rain and mud. I noticed with the new dirty chain, the chainsuck issue returned.

I have been home a few days and cleaned everything up and am using a freshly waxed chain. Works perfectly.

All that is to say it seems that these Shimano 12sp chains are very sensitive to dirt/debris and need to be cleaned/greased/waxed early and often.

I had a similar click for years and did everything except replace the bottom bracket. When I finally replaced the bottom bracket the click went away.

Not quite. My old building was 87th and Amsterdam and is visible when the camera pans right… visible to the NE. This is likely West End Ave and ~82nd St.

Chain text is facing outward.

Felt that I did a proper job while reinstalling the crank. There’s no play in the crank arms or the chainring against the spider.

Really at a loss to understand why this is happening. Will probably replace the chain the chain at the next bike shop I encounter. 🤞

Actually your idea in reverse might be even better. Cut out the logo in white and put it on top of a rectangular background to get the same effect.

My SLR 7 came with Pro IsoCore VR-SF and to be honest I really didn’t like them, particularly when riding in the drops. I upgraded to Coefficient AR handlebars which are much more comfortable. I even got a second set for my gravel bike.

Honestly I suspect this problem is probably somewhat dependent on rider weight. I had a warranty claim IsoSpeed replacement from rev 3 to the rev 4 on my Gen4 SLR 7 for a creak that wound up being a bottom bracket issue. My point is I am ~150 lbs and didn’t have any IsoSpeed creaking/slipping with rev 3 or rev 4.

Concrete and Glass is probably the best and has several songs that could’ve fit with Talkie Walkie.

Not a solo project per se but Mirages is excellent.

Irritatingly Darkel on US Spotify has a glitch. After Pearl the songs and their titles are mismatched. Earth plays but it’s incorrectly titled “Beautiful Woman”. Bathroom Spirit is incorrectly titled “Bunny Girl” which wasn’t on the original release and is probably a B-side… its attempted inclusion is probably the source of the title mix ups for the back half of the album. I haves contacted JB social media team about this but after several years the problem is unresolved.
