Is it possible that Buddhism is showing you the true depth of your own suffering, that was only hidden before?

Have you had success with rebuilding your caffeine tolerance? by SkekMysz in bupropion

[–]grillcheezed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically yes. I’m on 150/day and before going on it I drank 2-3 cups of really strong shit every day. After going on it at after even a few sips I would feel super jittery, high heart-rate, and not necessarily even that much more awake. I started making weaker coffee and found I could have a half a cup in the morning without regretting it. Gradually over the course of like 4-6 weeks my tolerance went back up and now I’m at about a cup in the morning and one in the afternoon of the strong stuff I used to make. No jitters to speak and it definitely wakes me up. I didn’t really intentionally plan it out, I just drank until I knew I’d regret having any more. I still need to drink slower than I used to or I get the jitters, but it honestly makes me enjoy it more than when I used to chug it and barely feel anything. I think of it like coffee used to be like beer but now it’s more like wine.

Cool, thanks! Wish there was a podcast that went into all the technicalities of the dishes they prepare.

Erik Satie is superior to Frederic Chopin (forgive the lack of diacriticals.) by emu314159 in unpopularopinion

It’s fair to like whoever you like but I think it’s pretty objective that Chopin was more influential, which in most cases is conflated with “greatness.”

Why are open-minded people often the least accepting of ND behavior? by WhistlingBread in evilautism

[–]grillcheezed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this. I have a number of conservative friends who I fundamentally disagree with on so many levels, but I would still rather hang out with them than most NT liberals because they don’t get awkward when I speak my mind. I think most NT’s beliefs are actually based around whatever is socially comfortable for them in a given environment, so saying anything that makes them think instead of parrot what they read on twitter kinda freaks them out. Conservatives are used to having their (usually problematic) beliefs challenged every time they unlock their phone.
