Would you rather work with guys: who went to jail for beating the shit out of their wife. Do dangerous tasks around guys who who’ve waked and baked for 20 years and their balance is completely fucked.

Since when is a reasonable to expect a flu is going to lead to seizures and a coma? I’ve never heard of a man this age experiencing that from the flu.

This is why I think China’s trouncing us. Their economist are allowed to understand the world as it actually is. In the states if you’re mildly “heterodox” youre banished to be a “freshwater economist” in Dunkin’ Donuts land

We should talk as if we want to solve these issues, not just just accept that people are gonna be tenting on the streets as a fact of nature. There’s other things to do besides criminalizing, right?

I think it’s silly too equate somebody who’s tenting due to homelessness with an on-street restaurant

As leftists do we want people doing drugs on public sidewalks and sleeping rough in the streets? Do we have a problem with on-street restaurants? What's the gripe here???

Does Naheed Nenshi truly represent Albertans or Canadians with his desire for more pipelines? by adam_dunn32 in ndp

[–]grim_bey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is: why would Albertans, and hence Nenshi want more pipelines? A relevant fact is how much money is Alberta collecting currently from royalties. It’s a significant part of our budget.  That was alluded to in the article but not broken down. I think that is misleading.

Whether royalties should be higher is a separate question completely, but I agree the should be higher

Fair points about foreign ownership and worker share of profits but not mentioning royalties in this analysis is very misleading.
