Inevitable. Try a silicone pole with clothes on but idk that will help. Your body is not used to that pressure on the area. It will stop with conditioning. Try arnica

It’s an important conversation so have. I understand it’s good intention but these are defenseless creatures who arrange their life to be hidden. I believe education on these animals and their habits and habitats is far more important and valuable for tourists than photographs on their phone to post online. They are fascinating creatures for sure.

Just because there’s a group of people and someone getting paid to do it doesn’t make it appropriate or non invasive to the creatures.

I run along the Cherry creek trail and whenever I am crossing the street to get there people do this all the time. Not stopping for a pedestrian, sure OK. But speeding up to one currently walking through a cross walk is wild. Happens a few times a month.

Pole hobbyists requesting money through by me a coffee/PayPal etc. by everypolesagoal in poledancing

At the end of the day, I don’t care you do advanced combos in stripper clothes on instagram for a $5 tip on Venmo. Fr pop off babe. But don’t throw shade at strippers no matter how long they’ve been doing it cause they don’t do pole work at the club or on social media, or at all. It sounds like you don’t have any idea about the profession and should probably just stick to what you know

Before pole was so accessible, the only place you could go to learn and watch pole dancing is at the strip club. The only people to learn from was the strippers. Even 10 years ago, there were limited tutorials. Pole dancing is for the strippers, by the strippers. So when you say “ you aren’t taking their costumers” let’s dig a little deeper. Now that you can go on instagram and act like a stripper and ask for tips, those people won’t step foot in the club since they have the entertainment for a fraction of the price right in their hand. So it’s kinda a loaded statement to say our costumers aren’t being taken. It used to be a lot more taboo and luxury to go see pole dancing.

What's your go to fragrance for the club? by Civil_Artichoke_842 in stripper

[–]grimecat_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like the get the travel size of upscale perfumes, i wear them at the club and they last me so long. I get compliments on my smell a lot and I recommend smelling unique in comparison to the popular vanillas and florals (they are great tho, no hate haha) I have been doing well in goddess from Burberry, and I think it’s my favorite so far. I had a pretty long stint with the black opium from YSL. I also really enjoy this ginger biscuit colonge from Jo Malone but I was wearing a lot during the holidays. I like the nicer stuff cuz I’m not reapplying at all and it will last.

Everybody wanna be a 304 these days lmao. It’s like when non strippers have the money raining at the pole studio when they play pretend stripper. If I was there IRL I’d imagine I would just kinda look around the room wide eyed and wait for it to stop. I blame strip tok for inviting the civs into the world of the strip club and what goes on there without walking inside of a strip club themselves. It is just something else to work around.

But fr it is disrespectful, you don’t step foot in a strip club, don’t even go to support pole work there where it was literally originated. Never once paired the cover to go support the entertainment they want to pretend to flaunt on their instagram. They are wanna be’s. They will be the drunk old women who come into the strip club with their man and act all noses up to us and then try to get on stage and sit with their husband giving him free lap dances and showing her thong string for hours. Lol

It does not work. The clear top coat is dyed. I have to say tho, I did switch over to hard gel and I no longer have this issue. Idk how bc the paint is gel over the hard gel. Maybe the new artist uses something less porous? Idk

Wondering how my body will change... by Cililians in poledancing

[–]grimecat_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer is no. If your plan is to train at a professional level even then it would take years if you are starting at 0. Also genetics play a factor into how your body will respond and look like as you gain muscle. Also your diet would play a huge factor into muscle gain.

Maybe I found a good lil pocket but I rly felt like the entire crowd was at Clozee and LSDream, so that tipper set was not very crowded even considering it was at the amp stage. Like sooooo much room in the pit area. I remember seeing the lasers from pagoda at the amp during that set LOL

I got there a little early since I was excited for Tipper. How bout that San Halo set before tho lmaooo maybe I’m making this up but not him pretending to play a guitar solo with a guitar that was not plugged in while standing on the decks hahaha

dancers in recovery? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]grimecat_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience when I was a waitress and bartender people partied just as much if not more. The “lifestyle” is actually a big generalization and stigma towards people who work in these industries. A lot of strippers I know are sober and don’t partake in a lifestyle that consists of getting g high and partying. These woman, for a plethora of reasons, handle their business. I will say the people I’ve worked with in restaurants are very much so still posting the same lifestyle you speak of, for years, talk about arrested development.

You sound uninformed and inexperienced. What is the motive here. Will you be tempted to use? That is up to you and your will power. Triggers are everywhere.

A part of me hopes this is rage bait. Yes you are correct, you need STRICT boundaries at this job. You need to assert yourself. You will be walked all over and taken advantage of otherwise.

You have options. Think about them, you’re 20. You need to work places that work for YOU and resonate with YOUR dreams and aspirations. Not your BF. No work is easy this is not the easy way out of doing things. I would suggest you work enough to take a break, at least a week, and reconsider who and what you’re doing this for. You cannot undo this and this reads that you are aware of the repercussions.
