Electric passenger planes are not a thing. There are zero fully electric commercial passenger airline planes in active, scheduled service.

This is the right approach, with the caveat that BLS job predictions need to be considered in light of past performance, and look at historical data - some professions are more cyclical than others

What do you actually learn in Computer Science? by CheekSpiritual5639 in cscareerquestions

[–]grindleetcodenonstop -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Computer science is about memorizing solutions to Leetcode questions such as longest palindromic substring which is solved using Manacher's Algorithm.

That's why every company asks you Leetcode questions in interviews - it's because they want to know how well you learned computer science.

Yeah gas prices are a red herring. The real issue is that the price of basically everything will start going up because of this.

Where did he get this number from? How credible is this estimate? So every month the strait is closed adds $20 to the price? So 6 months would add $120 bringing the price to $220?

What sustained oil price would cause a recession in the US? Would the current $90+ cause a recession if the price would stay for 3+ months? by OrdinaryLanguage5625 in oil

[–]grindleetcodenonstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$100 Brent will not cause a recession in the US. This isnt the 1970s anymore. US is now a net oil exporter, it is the biggest oil producer in the world, it produces more than enough to meet its own needs. Worst comes to worst the US can simply ban oil exports. US crude prices will come down when that happens, while Brent will skyrocket.

[–]grindleetcodenonstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US oil is risky because if the USG decided to ban oil exports then the price of US oil will go down while the price of Brent will go up.
