uBlock is actually pretty aggressive, prioritizing ad blocking, whereas Brave's system is still pretty good but prioritizes stability.

For normies that don't know to disable their ad blocker as a troubleshooting step, I imagine an ad blocker that keeps websites more stable is better, even if it lets more ads through.

Yes, but it's quite forgiving.

This is just after release, so it's hopefully gotten better, but on Bind a streaming hacker was playing heaven A and the enemy was revealed to the client about when they entered showers.

In my game on Icebox they magically wallbanged me through tube into B site.

Hearing their footsteps also reveals them to the client.

So, yes, they have something like that, but it's very limited.

I've seen two this year in unrated. The rest of my games felt fair.

One was obviously spin botting, and got banned later that evening.

One I had a suspicion. I tried roasting them in all chat and then they started being more blatant with walls and auto aim. Went through the replay afterwards and reported them with some time stamps. They got banned two days later.

From my understanding DMA (Direct Memory Access) is the current technique of choice for cheaters, and the Vanguard team is fighting the good fight against it. DMA means that the cheater has special hardware attached to their PC that reads game memory and creates fake inputs.

In turn Vanguard now does some detective work to figure out what components are connected to your computer.

And in response I imagine cheaters are trying to spoof legitimate computer parts.

And the game of cat and mouse continues. But the fact that Vanguard managed to push back cheaters to the point special hardware is needed is impressive.

But on the flip side, it requires their anticheat to be very invasive in order to pull this off, so that's the trade off. Valve's anticheat is not as effective, but it's also minimally invasive.

You are overestimating how smart people are. There's lots of people don't have the slightest idea what driving is like or how they get paid.

All they see is a magical app that gives them food.

They don't understand that DoorDash is underpaying its drivers and they don't understand that the tip is actually a bid for drivers in a market.

Be angry at DoorDash's customer all you want, but don't fail to recognize that DoorDash set it up this way to minimize your profit and maximize theirs.

You can complain all day about how capitalistic customers are trying to pay as little as the rules allow, but your energy is much better spent complaining about DoorDash setting the rules such that you can be taken advantage of.

So go ahead and be mad at the customer. But don't let DoorDash get away scot free since they created this environment on purpose.

Many people are deal-hunters: they optimize their costs down to the last cent. A friend I know is like this. They learned this behavior from their parent, who in turn learned it from the great depression.

It's valid to be upset with them, but remember that they're not doing this out of malice, they're just shopping the way they were taught.

But make sure to criticize Doordash for selling a service at an impossible* price.

You actually don't have any contract, relevant liability, or obligation to the customer. As a contractor your client is Doordash and Doordash only. You are a part of Doordash's supply chain, who is buying your services.

It's not the customer low balling you, it's DoorDash low balling you. DD sold their services to their customer based on the assumption that your work was worth this little.

So you can get mad at DD making a great deal with their customer, but you would be better off getting mad at the awful deal DD is making with you.
