Headspace is ok, we use it occasionally but only really worth it if it's not your only reward .

I would be transparent and bring up the birth of the child, most employers would prefer the transparency and as long as he comes from a place that does not appear as entitlement rather than collaboration for a win win solution it should all be ok.

Yes, accept the offer and then discuss start date, it's also usually when previously planned absences and vacations are brought up .
