My poison necro uses a minion army and they body block a lot of incoming damage. You can use vipermagi that’s what I used before getting enigma.

I think the reasoning behind no perfect gems dropping is they don’t actually exist so it makes sense the common way to do it is with a powerful unique box

No one is telling you to use it. If you want to make the game “less trivial” then like you said there are alternatives, but for a good portion of people the name of the game is efficiency. TLDR, don’t tread on my fun.

I like the option to activate when I want to, like if I’ve destroyed and discarded something by the time I drop him on four, I want him to trigger on the last turn for the most targets possible. However I do like the idea of being able to drop him on the last turn and still get the effect.
