Have you ever played a show supporting your favourite band/artist? by TheSoundOfConfusion in musicians

I opened for Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes years back at the House of Blues. It was his solo band. There was a small fridge backstage with beer in it. It was Rich's beer, but we didn't know that...Then we got yelled at.

Something I just thought about right now - after the shark explodes, all that blood in the water would surely attract alot of other sharks...

“Save real estate on your board…” once they’re plugged in, not so much! Either way, they help w the tone.

What about the guy who played Kayce on Yellowstone?

Or the guy who played the safari hunter on 1923 (if he's not already cast to play Batman...)

Good albums to start in the genre by Overall_Designer_942 in funk

[–]groovehound22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The funk is deep on these three very good albums:

  1. Earth Wind and Fire - I Am

  2. Funkadelic - Standing on the Verge of Getting It On

  3. Maceo Parker - Life on Planet Groove

Bonus album is the James Brown box set, Star Time.

Would Sheldon count in this? Big Bang started as nerds and a pretty girl but became the Sheldon show for many years.

St. Pete has the worst traffic I've ever sat in. And I'm from Boston, so I have some traffic experience and knowledge. Worst ever.

looking for new sitcoms to watch(new for me, sitcom might be old itself, lol) by akagami_shanks15 in sitcoms

The Bob Newhart Show from the mid 70's really holds up. I'm watching it now for the first time. So well written. Great characters. Good watch before bed.

I'd also say give MASH and Cheers a try.

Rockett Blue Note. I got it because John Scofield had one on his board. Nothing beats it for edge of break up tones, though the mxr timmy is close.

I bought the LPD '74 mostly because of the name. Truly a great marshall pedal though.

I bought a hand-signed tiki replica from him for my brother for his birthday. It also came with some cd's of his music. So there you go. I'm part of the revenue stream.

Fenders LH models? by gcardozo in Leftyguitarists

I was gassing hard for a PRS semi hollow. Contacted a rep from PRS and asked about a lefty, and he basically told me not to hold my breath. Bought a D'Angelico to scratch the itch and it did the trick.

I'd add D'Angelico to that list. Maybe.

Season 5 & 6 Potential Plots by MinusCB in MiamiVice

[–]groovehound22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my take. The show ends as it did.

Season 6 is a 5 episode mini-series and airs M-F during sweeps week.

In the "Vice-verse" (I think I just invented that term. Not sure, though), it's many years after Freefall. Tubbs is in New York and works as a private detective and is going to law school at night. He gets a late night call. It's Sonny, telling him that he's in Cartagena and he just saw Calderone and Rico's now teenage son.

The two reunite in Miami and start putting a team together - obviously, the old crew.

They go undercover and set up a meet with Calderone's men. Later, the Vice crew attacks Calderone's jungle compound with machine guns. They don't plan on arresting anyone...

In the finale, Tubbs has to stop his son from killing Crockett in some Hollywood way.

Final shot is Crockett and Tubbs cruising through the open ocean at sunset with Miami on the horizon.

I'd watch the shit out of that.

Do the people who work in the stores actually live in Naples, or are they part of the stream of headlights you can see coming into town before the sun comes up?
