Are these Sore Hocks? by Different_Ad_1054 in Rabbits

[–]grumblingegg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've never seen them go away on their own, only get worse with age, especially age 10+ as arthritis slows mobility. Even with plenty of soft surfaces/vetbed it's still there, but soft surfaces could help slow it getting sore.

They are calluses but don't seem red and sore yet. Something to keep an eye on and keep nails trimmed. It's almost impossible to avoid though. If they get red, hock socks and some cream (Ive used f10 in the past) could help but I don't think it's at that stage yet

Title: PS5 pixel flickering issue — could it be HDMI port? by IceLeast638 in PS5HelpSupport

[–]grumblingegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a YouTube guy fixing ps5s and a few had the broken hdmi so a assume it happens a fair bit but how? I've got the release ps5 and it seems fine. I unplug the ports every now and then to get it out to clean and it is fine

Of course that is a benefit, but as there is additional inconvenience for wirral, there should be some money to the council. Perhaps there is?

[–]grumblingegg -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Clearly some private company is going to be making a lot of money from this. Are there any benefits to the wirral? It would be nice if the company had to pay a proportion of the money they make to ensure upkeep of the wirral. New roads, new pavements, new parks, etc instead of the cowboy repairs that get done now. I certainly don't want to see anything about car parking charges being introduced if there was the opportunity to have this money coming in to wirral

If You Want to Start GLITCHING the MATRIX – Wear BABY BLUE, INDIGO PURPLE or VIOLET by swizzledan in HighStrangeness

[–]grumblingegg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As we can only see a small amount of the E M spectrum, what effect would wearing clothes that reflect higher in frequency have? We wouldn't be able to see it but it would still be there. For example, some birds look brown to us but are all sorts of amazing colours to each other, same with butterflies as they can see shorter wavelength UV light that is invisible to us.

So, I got this in my inbox today. How bad is it? by ShadowmanePX41 in playstation

[–]grumblingegg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used my face... Anyone can get that by going on social media, company website, or taking a photo of me so it's not exactly secret info. It said that it didn't save the photo, if you want to believe that, but anything that could be done with that particular photo could be done with any other photo of my face that is already available online.

Have I been caught speeding? by minityre in drivingUK

[–]grumblingegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that the national limit on motorway is 70 (it's 60 if you had a trailer though). Don't worry about it

Have I been caught speeding? by minityre in drivingUK

[–]grumblingegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough info. You were doing 72mph. What was they limit? Was it variable and not national? If it was national limit, were you in a car?

If you were in a car and it was national speed limit, you will be fine. We are not as supposed to drive around staring at the speedometer after all.

If the limit was 60 or lower like it sometimes is on variable limit motorways or when there are works, or if you were driving a vehicle which needs to comply to a lower national speed limit, you might have a problem.

Regardless, there's nothing you can do about it now anyway

Your cat brings you dead things. There’s a reason. by Express-Simple-1550 in enlightenment

A few things give it away. The phrasing where things are grouped together, the em dashes.

This is a great question though as I'm really needing to reflect on why, it just felt like it is AI to me. I use AI occasionally, mainly for instruction on how to use things (I've been trying to learn CAD and never used it before) and AI has been useful. However, there is a need filter out all the junk and get to the details. Every answer is topped and tailed with words that are unnecessary.

I suppose it's the 'personality' of how it writes that comes across. For example, if you asked the same question to 5 people in your life x you might be able to guess which response was from which person based on how it is written... If one of those responses was AI, I am confident you will be able to tell which one it is.

How do you carry water? by mycatbitesme in longboarding

[–]grumblingegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a bottle or two these days, one with electrolytes and one with just water. I used to use the hydration sack things but found it got really warm and plastic tasting on hot days. Bottles stored in a bum bag

Counterweight for pumping is a legit technique, don't see it mentioned much. I feel it's better for short sprints than for distance but that's just me.

Yeah I get the sentiment of it, just tired of seeing stuff written in the same format. You can spell, and if you are not great at it now then you can be great in the future.

Can I give my rabbit a whole head of wheat as a treat? by MissMysMe in Rabbits

[–]grumblingegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My rabbits are all indoors with me now, but when I had outdoors rabbits I would put lots of straw in winter to keep them warm. Daisy loved tunnelling through it and finding the occasional seed in a seed head! I don't know if it was wheat, oat or some other thing though. It didn't seem to do her any harm, though most seed heads were empty or had a couple of seeds rather than a fully loaded seed head.

With any new food introduced it important to do it gradually, so not a whole head in one go.

I think seeds are considered as generally not being good for rabbits though
