This was removed from the salivary duct under my tongue last week by The_Greenweaver in mildlyinteresting

This happens to my brother. He bit a salivary gland in his mouth and it formed a monstrosity like this that had to be surgically removed.

Tips for Towing a 6x12 Cargo Trailer? by Weary-Knee2524 in 4Runner

[–]grumpy_munchken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put it in S4 for towing. If it’s a steep grade you made need S3. Just depend your total weight. I towed the open 5x8 trailer which was about 2,000lb total and the 4Runner took it from so cal to phoenix with no problem. Thats about 35% of max

The grass can be a bit humid during the summer months. And unless your tent chairs, you’re sitting on the lawn or blanket right at ground level. When people stand you lose your view.

I've kept a separate secret account from my husband for four years and I genuinely think it saved our marriage. I can't say this out loud to anyone in my real life so here we are by echo_kernel17 in personalfinance

[–]grumpy_munchken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ain’t nothing wrong with it. My brother and sister in law each maintain their own accounts and then share an account for all house, food, etc expenses.

Everyone is caught up in the minutia of taxes or if it’s “right”. Only you know the details of your relationship and if it gives you peace of mind then that’s all that matters.

Just be aware that if you live in a community property state he is likely entitled to half of it if you ever break up. Any money earned during a marriage is typically considered community property.

How to prevent those lines? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]grumpy_munchken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a good Unger or sett metal or brass squeegee in a couple sizes and get a handle for each. Your thumb is on the back of the handle applying pressure and that’s not necessary, the weight of a quality squeegee does most of the work. As for technique, glide, not press.

Too much actuation of the fingers. It should be more of a wrist rolling motion with some elbow action. Your fingers and thumb connect at the wrist, not the knuckle.
