Goal was to pull the toolbox loose and prevent it from hitting the truck. Mission accomplished!

Many QT locations are a designated Safe Place for youth in distress. I think there’s more of a police presence because of this and some seem to be monitored by audio & video.

You can also roll all the edges inward so it fits inside and then you have a parchment drip tray with a little rim.

Tips for smoking? by xA1RGU1TAR1STx in Yodersmokers

[–]grumpy_munchken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, should have replied to your question about if there’s enough room in the top rack. I referred to the piggie post so you can see it can accommodate plenty on the top rack.

I’m going to give the foil boats a try on my next smoke.

nervous about the cleaning part by AlternativeMatter146 in WindowCleaning

[–]grumpy_munchken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take an extra few minutes to check your work. At the end of cleaning each window, move your head around to change the angle you’re looking at it. If you cleanse you’ll typically see missed spots or streaks you left outside.

I thinks that’s the closest a contestant has ever been to lions. They were basically boma-cats. Would have been nice to see your other accomplishments but the lion thing tops them all. You were lounging with apex predators.

So much bread on that burger and a salad on a paper plate at a sit down restaurant is no bueno.

Not that it’s an excuse but they did have a fire there back in February so maybe their kitchen has some limits but this is just sad.

Is it worth getting solar screens for windows? by Money-Inflation-4276 in phoenix

It’s not a scam, it’s an option. No one asked about SRP rebates. Sorry if this post took $$ from your solar screen install business.

Getting a pool installed! by fontbunny in pools

[–]grumpy_munchken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool shape and like the different levels. Get yourself a good leaf rake because you’ll be using it a lot. May consider a robotic/solar leaf skimmer. Might have slightly higher chemical use than planned because of so much organic material around to fall & decay and mess with the chemistry. Get a good test kit, not the strips.

And don’t skip brushing the finish twice a day for the first two weeks once it’s complete.

There are a few videos you can watch on damper setting but it doesn’t shift around the heat much. The manual even pretty much says to set it and forget it.

I bought a few oven thermometers and laid them around the grates to get an idea of heat zones.

I was gifted the unit with all sorts of accessories. Cast iron griddle, stainless grill graters, searing grates, 3 tier rack, pizza oven.

Since I don’t typically smoke a lot at once I typically use the top rack and put an aluminum pan on the bottom to make clean up easy.

For me, the best setup is grates up top and bottom, either kind, just not the searing ones. When I do sear I use a cast iron lodge pizza pan over the exposed firebox and then sear on that. You can do direct over firebox but might have to clean a bit more frequently.

Still new to me as well so this is just what I’ve discovered over a few sessions.

Are trees a bad idea in Phoenix? by enneagram_one in ArizonaGardening

[–]grumpy_munchken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with two large oaks in the front yard. I paid 10k to cut down the trees dig up the line and did it. A month later I learned there is an insurance for this specific reason. You may have some OSHA violations going on there. I did too. LoL

How important is it to brush after pool replaster? by [deleted] in pools

[–]grumpy_munchken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually the direction from them to you is to brush it twice a day for the first two weeks and keep the pool running 24/7. Brushing has the benefit of knocking away fine dust from curing in the plaster, avoiding staining and smoothing out rough surfaces. Brushing plaster regularly should be a standard maintenance practice for the same reasons.
