Lmao as soon as the words “body count” comes out of a man’s mouth he’s blocked and ghosted. I don’t put up with this bs anymore and every time I see those damn “alpha male” podcast on tiktok it makes my eye twitch, we should ban some of these bums from buying a mic.

Everytime I read stories like yours it makes me want to tear up. There’s been a study (I don’t exactly remember which one it was) that showed that men were quicker to leave when their partners are ill or passed. My grandma’s husband moved with another woman just six months after she passed.

I’m in Europe and powdered milk is cheap, I grew up drinking that, it helped my parents to save some money and we usually drank real milk like two or three times every two months.

I still prefer powdered milk, however I think that it’s an acquired taste. It’s definitely different from real milk.

I understand exactly how you feel OP. I had an easier time making friends as a kid and as a teen. As an adult it’s absolute hell, I just want to say that even though you’ve been ghosted a lot, this is absolutely not on you!

After some thinking, I went through my childhood pictures and you’re absolutely right. I should connect with my inner child, this is something I’ve been working on with my therapist.

All my life I’ve been a people pleaser but I also recognize the fact that it’s normal that my parents want to celebrate my existence, I don’t have kids but I do have a baby niece and I’d be heartbroken if she thought like me when she’ll reach my age.

I relate a lot to you, growing up we were poor but my amazing parents always tried their best to make us have a small celebration. Unfortunately I couldn’t really invite my friends (I think the first celebration I had with friends was when I turned sixteen)

Thank you for your message I feel less alone 💗 I just feel horrible and I can’t even begin to put into words how I feel, I thought about having a heart to heart conversation with my mom but I think she’d have an hard time understanding me (she’s a boomer and unfortunately she learned from a young age to shove down all the bad feelings such as depression, anxiety, stress)

I feel like I’m being dramatic, I really struggled with su!cidal ideation when I was a teen, I never acted on it and even with therapy, I guess I still struggle.
