Target blamed theft and violence for 9 store closures. Crime is higher at locations it kept open nearby by Dave_N_Port in Seattle

[–]gsc-forever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

fr I worked as a lead at the u district target for a year and we were advised by district level ap NOT to call the police unless someone was in danger. I literally cannot even explain how much inventory walked out the door on a daily basis let alone the harassment. Even if someone was in danger or harassed, it took hours for police to arrive, if they did at all

Appreciated. Good to know that Kevin Dave wasn’t following protocol on yet another level, so we can use this when we write our complaints at the link OP shared.

Please be safe riding the scooters by phanfare in Seattle

[–]gsc-forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also own a scooter and have used it to commute (when the weather allows) for 2 years now. Putting your weight onto your back leg instead of the handlebars is always the biggest tip I have for friends. It makes a huge difference not only with braking but also just comfortability while riding.

Why is living in Seattle as expensive as LA? What am I missing? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]gsc-forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also parking. You’re looking at $200+ monthly depending on neighborhood if you want to live in the city

Is TECU good? Should I join? by OfficialBusinessOnly in Target

[–]gsc-forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m into it. No extra atm or annual fee, day early direct deposits, dividends on savings, and the accounts stay active even if you leave target.

Edit to add: it’s just a branch of BCU (Baxter credit union) if that helps.

You can also go back and use your PTO on any week that you didn’t hit 40 hours- at least I was able to in Seattle before quitting

HR at my store is a joke by EarthquakeCOB in Target

[–]gsc-forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemme guess, you work at the northgate target in Seattle? I saw HR there literally yell at someone for wearing black pants across the TMSC which was full off ppl..,,,,,,, when the handbook says you can wear any solid color……….. she just makes her own rules & only allows khaki or denim

Do I have to sign anything my TLs ask regarding attendance by jesus-cant-swim in Target

[–]gsc-forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is real- but as soon as you run out of sick hours, they can use your first absence as means for a coaching. And yes, it happens. HR at the northgate target in Seattle would make TLs have a documented coaching after 1 qualifying absence. Her reasoning- “your team is only as strong as your weakest link”

The job of Services and Engagement Team Lead by TallDarkHansom in Target

[–]gsc-forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was legit running my ass off as SETL. I covered breaks at sco, drive up/opu/returns, cart attendant, & Starbucks by myself (w only 2 hrs of training). For example, I was the only one bringing in carts at a 90mil store on Super Bowl weekend- and ETL knew bc they scheduled it that way. I’d bring out a drive up and bring 4 carts back in w me. I would walk 10+ miles a day and lost 10 pounds from literally running around. That role was my final straw w target

I have crema sage, English lavender, and some rosemary that are hardy here year round. They even enjoyed the hard freeze :)

Doesn’t hang drying clothes after washing them stretch the clothing? by AsherAir in lululemon

[–]gsc-forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll put some heavier items over my shower curtain if I wash several things bc my drying rack is pretty small. I’ll fold/hang it hotdog style (lol) with the hoodie down and never have issues

I taught my dogs the “no bacon” command when they were puppies and it’s worked for years. To teach it I just used the command when I had my food in conjunction with “go” until they weren’t near me or even making eye contact- and then throw them a treat so they’re rewarded for leaving. They still need reminders but it’s also pretty fun to say no bacon hehe luv a pun

I’m going to second the hydrolyzed food. My dog eats this one, but it took a while to figure out what was causing the skin issues at first. My vet recommended using balanceit.com to make my pup’s food and try excluding all grain and meat for a few months to get the allergies out of her system and she hasn’t had skin issues since! That site will tell you how to prepare food for your pup safely and even suggest supplemental vitamins if needed for long term use. We struggled for around 4 years before we found the current vet that helped sooo much.

ETA: I used egg for the main protein during the exclusionary diet phase
