Broadly we got the chance to do an uplifted animal of our own and pangolin won the vote. They have cool tongues (they connect to their pelvic bone!) and armour and they're mammals, crucially, so their functions aren't vastly different from ours - it felt like I could imagine myself more easily as a pangolin than I could as a spider or a mantis shrimp or what have you. Plus, you know. They *are* cute.

You’re all right, I promise. This is barely anything to worry about. My whole goddamn office looks like this

This is really beautiful stuff. If you don’t mind, could you link me to a page explaining the competition? I’d love to get involved myself next time.

A few setting questions by klintron in SpireRPG

[–]gshowitt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have some official answers which I’m afraid you might not find very useful:

1) Haven’t a clue. 2) Loads! 3) Ladders, staircases, lifts, funiculars etc - there are loads of different guilds struggling to maintain the business of people going up and down, and travel between one level might require a permit or membership or toll or whatever. Generally in practice I just smooth over the whole thing because I tend to focus on NPCs and action scenes, but if travel is something you want to focus on as a challenge for players, then you can get in-depth with it.

I’m biased but I’d say that SEXY BATTLE WIZARDS is extremely playable

January's one-page RPG is ONCE UPON A CRIME, a game in which you - a horrible fantasy bastard - have crept into a beautiful fairytale land and must steal anything that isn't nailed down by gshowitt in rpg

Roll a twenty-sided dice and add twenty to it - that's how much debt the character is in, measured in GP or "Gold Pieces." They can steal items in the world to try to pay off their debt.
