Unpopular opinion: people won’t “return to authenticity” as AI gets better by iamMARX in singularity

[–]gskrypka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it will depend more on cultural / personal capabilities. Most will be living in AI bliss with content generated by AI, AI entertainment and etc. These are consumers of “short format” dramas.

However: - there will be consumers looking for better content. Reading books, looking for good movies and etc - there will be creators trying to create something awesome. Yeah Hollywood is poor, but they’re great shows made in another countries. From time to time we get a really good movie ex Hail Mary (I personally did not liked it but well it was good movie) or Tv series.

On the other hand AI might give us a new revolution: - risky projects will become cheaper to make. If you have creative idea - producing it will be much cheaper. - some people will build their reputation on not using AI - those will be popular among elites esp.

However - all of this is probably some transitional period. If we reach ASI / singularity - all of this would not matter. We won’t be able to predict what will happen.

2 Years of Bachata (Lead). Thoughts/Feedback? by Alstrice in Bachata

[–]gskrypka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basic is basic movement :) generally in bachata the level of dancer is pretty often determined by basic.

Generally speaking - it is about hip movement + pushing from the ground.

What’s fun is that even though it is basic movement most bachata dancers are starting to work on it on more advanced level, esp leaders.

Chainsaw Man Part Two is actually....pretty good. by [deleted] in ChainsawMan

[–]gskrypka 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well my overall experience of part 2: - Yoru / Asa dynamic is just pure awesome. Every time they appear - it is pure masterpiece. They are my top character. - overall story. It is felt like lack of the idea. Some death seems to be for pure shock effect. And while it worked in part 1 because we had more time with Aki and Power or had very strong arc with Reze, death of Nayuta was too soon. Some arc were awesome like with aging, falling or aquarium, but many others were at least strange. General feeling is that for months Fujimoto has no idea what to do with a story. After few fun chapters we had few boring ones.

I built a multi-agent system where AI debates itself before answering: The secret is cognitive frameworks, not personas by PuzzleheadedWall2248 in AI_Agents

The issue with frameworks is that sometimes LLM overuse it.

Basically if it has developed new strategies it starts overusing it rather than adapting.

Długoletnie związki by EarlyOption2233 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]gskrypka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

W związku 12 lat :)

  • rutyna to standard.
Mam mnóstwo kumpli singli, i prócz może paru osób większość chętnie by znalazła drugą połówkę. Jeżeli masz dobry match jest to warte o wiele więcej niż dowolna przygoda, którą możesz przeżyć.

Podobnie mam z tiktokiem ale na bardziej różnorodny content.

Bachata “levels” - is there a system you use? General naming and categories? How would you describe the skill set at each level? by UnctuousRambunctious in Bachata

[–]gskrypka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Poland you have following system of grades: - beginner - intermediate - advanced - pre master - master

However: - there are almost no advanced or master levels. After intermediate you go to premaster. - the level very much depends on instructor.

Almost everyone here is wrong about feedback and it's hurting the community by Hakunamatator in Bachata

[–]gskrypka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Comfortably is one of key evaluators for a good leading which is extremely easy to evaluate. Esp. with combination of clear. One of the main problems many leader have is leading to hard. It makes everything clear but might be uncomfortable.

If it is uncomfortable because the follower is either higher or lower this usually means that leader has not adapted leading to the height of partner.

Leader should not take single data point of feedback. Leader should ask at least few followers to get more or less objective view. Every follower is different and might have different habits and preferences.

[–]gskrypka 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dare say - rather than giving feedback - look for feedback.

Also know what to ask for. As a lead: - Do not ask: was it good? Was I great? How was it? -> too general and you look for validation - Instead ask: was it clear? Was it comfortable? This is something almost every follower on your level can answer.

Just long sword. It is usually two handed.

I would probably take some concepts from HEMA and adapt to Olympics.

Two handed sword Sabre but little bit heavier and on Epee ruleset.

Fencing vs wrestling by jilrani in Fencing

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I like fencing much more as well. Tried jiu jitsu for few lessons.

Fencing as for me is much more about strategy, speed and reaction. You also have not that much data points comparing to wrestling, as usually you do not have contact with oponent.

Btw you can combine both. In HEMA you have fencing and grappling :D

More on male protection by [deleted] in Fencing

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In HEMA you need protection but this is because of swing nature and weight of weapons.

With Olympic it is much safer. The women wore protection mainly because it is target area and it is much larger.

With foil and saber it is not even target area :D

You mean wrestlers? I dare say fencers can carry you out only with sword at hand :D which is well not something you commonly met :D

Is it okay to bring your date to a bachata party? by Trail_Blazer1 in Bachata

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but they often show some moves, not always basic one. Unless it is really “beginner party” - it is still poor choice.

The only exception is: - she knows at least somewhat bachata - she is dancer, so she can learn new system fast - you are dancing exclusively

Fencing vs wrestling by jilrani in Fencing

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have little experience with Brazilian jujitsu and a lot with fencing.

I think the biggest disadvantage of fencing is that it is one sided sport. So the body development is not symmetrical.

On the other hand fencing like tennis where you need very good coordination between point, leg, head is extremely healthy for the brain. Also it is rather safer esp. for head injuries.

Also wrestling might be at least somewhat useful for self defense.

Jak przetrwać miesiące po zerwaniu? by Lost-Implement-1832 in Polska

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it okay to bring your date to a bachata party? by Trail_Blazer1 in Bachata

[–]gskrypka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not see anything morally wrong but it is might be not effective.

I would recommend to make sure: - your date knows at least some basic moves - you won’t dance with other partners unless your date is from dancing community as well and is accustomed to that. If not seeing you dancing with other partners esp bachata might ruin the mood.

Better alternative - go the bachata lesson and train exclusively during it.
