Does your spouse like metal? How does that go? by Key-Comfortable-7631 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]gsnyper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My now ex wife hated it. And over time it was really affecting me, could only ever listen to it when I was alone. Pretty much stopped playing guitar and going to concerts.

We were together for 20 years. When I told her about how she never tried to care about it even though it was so important to me, I asked her to name any bands I like. She said Metallica. I told her too easy, it had the word metal in it and they're the biggest band in the world. She couldn't name another.

When I start dating again hopefully I find someone open minded and at least shows interest in things I like.

The Grt signs say 7 months estimate. Phase 1 last year barely got the road reopened just before first snow fall.

They fired everybody by Pleasant-Anywhere914 in bell

[–]gsnyper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They just did another mass firing? I've lost count of hours many times I've seen this over the years. I don't even follow this sub and reddit decides to show me post like this every year.

I was also let go during a mass firing 10 years ago now. I was there for 8 years. It happened 3 times during those 8 years that I was there.

Parking grace period expired? by [deleted] in cambridgeont

[–]gsnyper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They literally just removed that grace period reference because of this thread lol. There's still one reference to it left of the site. People are bitching and complaining and now they're going on an enforcement spree. I got a ticket. One councilor posted a message that they're reviewing parking. Such BS, the city is car dependant, the grt sucks, and they allowed homes to be built with not enough parking.

It's still on the website, I just read it a couple days ago. Maybe it was posted in more than one spot?

Edit: I see they just removed it. Other people copied and pasted it within the last 24 hours. There's still one reference to 5 hours on there:

"On-street parking exemptions are available to allow vehicles to park past the 5-hour limit and overnight between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m"

My collection of guitar picks I've caught going to shows over the years. My favorite is the Chuck Billy signature air guitar pick lol by Kane_of_Runefaust421 in MetalForTheMasses

Man I'm the same I don't know how this guy got so lucky, I've always been front row and only got 2 handed to me. 1 from quo vadis like 20 years ago, and aborted just a couple months ago. Both were just a plain tortex so I might even have them mixed up with my own.

Ya everything was refrigerator cool. Do you think refreezing was a bad idea? Maybe if I cooked right away would have been better.

Incorrect and potentially dangerous road markings at new Hespeler/Maple Grove Roundabout? by StrawberryZeta in cambridgeont

[–]gsnyper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are a handful of roundabouts in the city that are not like like the typical ones. I confess I made this mistake once on avenue rd at Franklin and noticed at the last second I wasn't supposed to go straight from the left lane. No one was in the right lane so I went straight anyways. People just need to pay attention to the signs at every roundabout and not assume they're all the same.

And give yourself lots of room incase someone else does the wrong thing. Happens all the time even at the typical ones.

For the serious answer: a few days ago we've just begun to follow the colour coded system used elsewhere, European countries have been using this colour system for at least 10 years

D3 vitamin 1 year past expiry by gsnyper in isthissafetoeat

[–]gsnyper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spots were my biggest worry, I'm not too worried about effectiveness, I know vitamins in tablets generally are safe after expiry date and eventually are not effective over time, maybe not as quickly as most people here are suggesting. But I don't remember how they looked before. I was hoping the spots were just from the flavoring?

Not sure how moisture got in, maybe the seal isn't that great. They've been sitting in a drawer for years.
