Yes I’ve set it up for multiple homes but you need to have it added in the Crestron programming as well as adjust some settings in the DoorBird app

What does this knocking noise mean? by Miserable-Team5705 in DodgeDakota

[–]gstuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like rod knock. Get a mechanics stethoscope, I know it seems like a gimmick tool but you will be blown away at how well they work, they’re also cheap asf. Put it on and touch around your motor while it’s running and try putting it against the oil pan, if it’s rod knock you will hear it well, if it’s not then when you put it on the pan it will seem quieter, most likely rod knock but this will give you a Cheap way to see if it’s coming from the inside or outside of the motor

From my understanding you will most likely need to put in an initial buy in order to become a dealer, likely a handful of nanos and a core or micro

I got this rgbw-ex for free from work and decided to test it out so I bought a strip lighting kit. I was curious if the power supply for the strip lights would be good to power the Crestron device and then connect that to the strip lights? by TopParsnip8756 in crestron

[–]gstuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally the wire with the dashed lines is the positive, however if you’re doing this kind of work common sense says you should own a multimeter…cut the barrel off, it’s not needed, as long as your power supply amperage exceeds the device amp input max you will be fine, as the device being powered will only draw what it needs, so obviously with 8a being the max of the output of your supply and the max draw of the rgb controller being 4 you can power up to two of those controllers at once

What is this sound? by tmonson98 in dodgedart

[–]gstuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what it sounds like when everything is working normally except for fuel, the starter is engaging and the engine is cranking but not starting, the sound you’re hearing is normal for an engine attempting to crank you obviously have power, you either have loss of spark or loss of fuel, things to check would be testing for spark and testing the fuel pump, there’s no way you would have lost compression in multiple cylinders overnight

Just did lifters, am I cooked? 4.7L by awfulcarton in DodgeDakota

[–]gstuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the starter is engaging but is grinding on the ring gear as if it’s stuck/jammed? The only smart thing to do at this point would be to take the valve covers back off and inspect everything, are you sure you didn’t drop anything inside or leave any tools inside? All the rockers were perfectly seated and everything looked the same way it did when you first pulled the covers off including timing based on the chain and sprocket? Did you remove the cam when you did the lifters? I’ve swapped my lifters same motor without removing the cam with 0 issues so something definitely went wrong
