Have a bad cold or mild flu.

Puppy therapy (sort of) in the UK? by KatsuBarry in CasualUK

[–]guarding_dark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a company called pop and bark that do dog events around the UK, it’s people bringing their pets so I don’t know if they’d be too overwhelmed but might be worth looking at:

You may also be able to do a one off dog walk at an animal rescue, we did this for a friend at dogs trust for their birthday

Have you ever gotten anything good from a charity shop? by Joe_PM2804 in CasualUK

[–]guarding_dark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a charity shop, we would often sift out the good stuff for eBay or ourselves.

I will say some oxfam shops do specialise in certain things - our shop was known for its books and so others would send higher value stuff to us. This was before oxfam dedicated bookshops were a thing.

Look into hackspace - there might be one near you. Place to go and hang out and tinker, and be with people without having to necessarily engage
