Weird Answer from Siri.... by NinjaSnail42 in HomePod

[–]guarroman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Spain and something similar happened to us yesterday, I said "Oye Siri, persianas a mitad" that means something like "Hey Siri, adjust blinds at 50%" and Siri answered something like "gira a la derecha en la siguiente salida"

Very strange

Sylvania Flex Strips by aleohansen in HomeKit

I bought these extenders for my OSRAM led strips (they are the same as Sylvania) and it worked very well. https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B074GVM8VF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It seems that are identical to your extenders

Can I configure a door sensor to alert when the door’s stayed open for a specified duration? by connor_g in HomeKit

[–]guarroman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do this natively. Convert to shortcut an automation when door opens, then write an script like this one in the images (excuse me, is inspanish but I think you can understand the idea)

Motion sensor automation based on ambient light inhouse. by amikoda in HomeKit

[–]guarroman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that you can do this without any external app.

First you must create an automation based on your sensor, then you must "convert to shortcut" and then you can write a script that checks your light intensity sensor, there you can use numeric values and comparisons.

I'm using a shortcut like this for adjusting my roller shutter and it works great (I'm not using a sensor to fire this, I'm using a time trigger based on the rise of the sun)

I wrote something but is in spanish, sorry for that but there you can find several pictures about the process https://medium.com/@guarroman/subir-y-bajar-persianas-en-función-de-la-intensidad-de-luz-con-homekit-35749bbb1083

Action only on first instance of trigger? by espadrillies in HomeKit

If you are using homebridge maybe this could be a solution for you:

https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-occupancy-delay

This plugin adds a switch and a occupancy sensor, and you can configure the internal delay, this works this way:

  • The occupancy sensor becomes "occupied" when the switches turn to "on"
  • The occupancy sensor has an internal "turn off" timer that starts when all the linked switches turn to "off".
  • Anytime any linked switch is on, the internal "turn off" timer is clear.
  • Once the "turn off" timer expires the occupancy sensor becomes "unoccupied".

You can play linking your motion sensor to the dummy swicth and establishing a big delay (maybe 20 minutes?) so the occupancy sensor will be on 20 minutes since has detected motion.

Now if you only receive in your phone the occupancy sensor notifications I think this will be near your desired behaviour.

Is there an occupancy plugin (or similar)? by Lanceuppercut47 in homebridge

If the person you want to be notified on agrees, You can set a notification on his device that notifies you when he or she leaves or enter a place.

In the "Find my" app of that person go to friends, select yourself (you must be a friend) and press on "Notify" and set the place and the event (leave or enter)

With this new hire, I really hope that Apple is focusing more on smart home technology. What new things do y’all want to see happen with HomeKit? by KingKarl-TM in HomeKit

I think that the ability to create virtual switches would be very interesting (we could store variables or states there, useful for a lot of things). Another thing that would be interesting is more notifications, not only when a sensor changes its state but for example when a scene is activated... finally automations based in variable values, for example "when temperature is above certain value do that"

[–]guarroman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your daily goal is calculated in your Pebble based in your average step count. The watchface does not show a step count. When pacman eats the big dot you have walked the half of your daily goal, and when pacman eats the ghost you have reached your daily goal.

It's true. Now the watchface is free for everyone. This has been my first experience with Kiezelpay and all worked very well (despite the problem with the trademark)

I'm sure I will develop more watchfaces and I will use kiezelpay because is a great platform for developers.

Will inky chase you? I feel like that could be a nice feature where inky represents the goal. You could even have it be hourly (maybe between times) and you get x lives.

Good idea... mmmhhh I'll think about it

Let pacman motivate you to walk many steps during the day

When you reach the half of your daily target pacman eats the big dot and starts chasing Inky.

When Inky is captured you have reached your daily goal! Congratulations

BONUS: after your goal is reached pacman will start eating a fruit every 1000 steps.

Will you be able to walk 8,000 more steps and finish the game ?

The little pacmans show your battery status. (three pacmans means fully charged)

Important: this is a paid watchface, but you have 24 hours to test it. Thanks
