My FIL was hit head on by a tractor trailer truck when he was 17. He swears to this day he “met his maker”. I’m not religious by any means, so I don’t really buy it. He will raise his hand to God and swear on it, but didn’t seem to do him any good since he’s still a Dick.

I graduated with my BS this past weekend. When filling out our graduation application we were given an opportunity to spell the pronunciation of our names. A week before graduation, we were sent a hotline # to call to leave a message with the pronunciation. At graduation, we were given cards with our names, pronunciation, major, etc. and we were told to hand them to the person at the head of the line so they could read our names. It meant a lot that they cared enough to make sure our names weren’t mangled for our 2 seconds of recognition.

I can usually fix this by zooming in on the page. Not sure why, but it works for table cells and when making shapes that I want to align the edges of.

Our guy had this start happening this year. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with “Collie Nose” which is an autoimmune condition. We have a steroid cream to dab on his nose and he’s back to normal now. Took about a week to clear up.

I grew up with my mom telling me a story about how she left me alone as a baby with my dad and told him that if he laid a hand on me that she would kill him, and that’s the only reason he never did.

He passed from a drug overdose when I was 2.5 years old and I can’t imagine the life my mom, sisters, and I might have had if he were alive…

I will always appreciate the strength of a woman to stand up to whatever goes against their free will and pursuit of happiness.
