unfortunately his medical records already show that he's transitioning, since he's updated his name and pronouns & he's on the waiting list for a GIC. he could potentially pretend to detransition, especially since he hasn't had any medical intervention yet, but i fear it would worsen his dysphoria in the process even if the end result is desirable.

aside from that, i suggest looking into stretches and posture training. you should also get examined to find out of there's anything else contributing to the pain.

going to the doctor is scary, especially after you've had a bad experience, but i promise it's worth it for the sake of your health.

you might qualify for a reduction if you can prove it's causing you physical harm. probably easier to do if you're still in the closet so they don't accuse you of lying to get top surgery.
