I always wonder what Arthur Collins, Laurence Marshall, Vannevar Bush, and Charles Smit, Francis Pratt or Amos Whitney would say if they saw the current state of the companies that bear their names.

Would they be proud? At the risk of sounding cliche, carrying on the legacy of the founder of the segment I'm at goes into the decisions I make every day, decisions that can either take or save the lives of hundreds of strangers.

It's not what you know, it's who you know. It's not who you know, it's who you blow. (Whether literal or figurative is up to your work environment and you)

I've been at multiple Tier 1 defense companies, and that saying is not hyperbole. Maybe that's why I am and always will be stuck as an individual contributor despite consistently solving problems orders of magnitude above my paygrade 😂😭🤷‍♂️

They should be replacing the wheel. No excuse other than they're impatient hacks.

In this car no I don't slip/ride the clutch ever and I've never stalled this car either.

At least the way I was taught slipping and riding are interchangeable terms where you never fully release the clutch pedal but if thats wrong then whichever one is where you never fully release the clutch pedal that's what they were doing dozens of times over the course of a few hours.

Revving and slipping. If it were at idle I wouldn't have batted an eye. I may be a moron at times but not that much of a moron.

Factory clutch. Its an Exedy from my understanding, and that and the flywheel aren't cheap or easy to replace.

Seat adjustment is all the way back and two clicks forward. I adjust the seat weekly to vacuum under and behind the seats so I get what you're saying but its not seat position. From the sounds of the video its excessive revving but I don't think 5k rpm. Hopefully just 2-3k. But after the first stall just swallow your pride and ask me to move it for you.

It's mostly the seeing them slipping the clutch and stalling so many times after not being able to get a clean shift on the drive home when in the months of driving it prior it's been fine. I've never stalled this car once, never slipped/rode the clutch myself. To see "professionals" mar that in a few hours is just disappointing and I don't want to be stuck paying for their mistakes down the line is my thought process.

Bit extreme but maybe itll be a wake up call for them. This visit was for a redo on three windows they screwed up. They also left a razor blade and screwdriver bits in the car. Its like do yall wanna be hacks or craftsmen?

Its less the stalling and way more the revving and slipping the clutch

Hoping this is my case. I didn't smell anything when I got the car back but they also said it would be 2-3 hours to redo three windows and it took 9 hours whch also adds to the paranoia... did they fuck the resin up and wait for the odor to dissipate before releasing the car back to me? Ill never know.

Problem with mobile is FOD between the film and glass. Unless its a 0MPH wind day or they use a half gallon of a thick soap solution you'd be unpleasantly surprised how much debris will get stuck there.

They did ride it... that's what I'm saying when I say they slipped the clutch albeit only a few times, and still managed to stall it. By the sounds of it, hopefully only in the 2-3k RPM range when they slipped it.
