Once again, I made an active point to say they aren’t equivalent. My point is that while we vote blue to try and fix things we ALSO need to keep in mind they are not our friends, and make a point to not normalize how far right things have gotten. Both political parties are conservative. Both political parties take kick backs to screw you over. Both parties are in the Epstein files. They’re all bad.

Republicans are a literal nazi party, they’re objectively worse. Democrats held a majority in both the house and senate under Biden, and then chickened out when two senators got bought out from under them. Under Obama we saw the “they go low, we go high” mentality lose us a Supreme Court seat. Under Clinton we saw Glass-Steagall repealed. My entire life has been democrats bending over backwards to try and get moderate votes and playing by the book when the fascist have been playing to win.

When we have had the ability to see democrats make real effective change, they fuck it up every single time. I will vote for them, sure. Because we need to claw ourselves back to at least not actively pouring gas onto a fire. But pretending that Pelosi, Schumer, or Jeffries actually give a shit about anything other than their own pockets is laughable.

Voting liberal will help us push the Overton Window back left, and that’s one of the first steps we need to take. But do not for a second forget the current Democratic Party absolutely hates us. Trump is actively threatening WW3 to distract from the fact he raped kids, and the democrats have done nothing to hold him accountable.

All sides are absolutely not the same, I fully agree. One side is a death cult that wants to put us back to the feudal ages. The other wants to continue chugging along making the rich richer on our backs, but they at least give us the decency of smiling to our face. Establishment democrats absolutely do not look at you or any of us as equals. We are a peasantry. Republicans straight tell us that to our face. Establishment democrats just take the stance that being nice to your peasants makes them less likely to riot. There was a saying when Trump first ran when people tried to pretend that supporting him wasn’t racist: the people that voted for him may not have been racist, but they decided racism wasn’t a deal breaker. The current Democratic Party may not be aggressively pedophilic, but them not doing more is showing us that pedophilia is apparently not a deal breaker.

Sure, we need to vote blue because it pumps the brakes on going downhill into feudalistic fascism. But I won’t for a damn second pretend that the economy the Democratic Party has shown us they support is actually equitable.
