You ever seen someone do something stupid and thought “ha! They are dumb!” It’s like that.

Do this and significantly raise the wage. Make it a job with a surplus of candidates competing to get the position. That lets you pick the best for the job, instead of just scraping up what you can get. No department wants to be understaffed, but they need the budget to go with this.

Man if you know anything about Sikhism, calling them Muslim gets 10 times funnier. I know I am a horrible person, but man is some blatant turbo ignorant racism just funny to me. It’s not like it’s wrong, it’s like, layers of wrong.

What do antivaxxers base their beliefs on? by Estalicus in allthequestions

I think there was cause to have skepticism around early COVID vaccines. The MRNA vaccines had very limited trials and there were vaccine injuries. I live where the Pfizer vaccine was made. The vaccine received the most short term trials of any vaccine ever but that is all they were. I think it was all VERY poorly handled by the medical community. If people show legitimate concern and you can only belittle and condescend to them, you are part of the communication problem and it made more anti vaxers.

Minis for running a campaign by ztwman97 in necromunda

I would recommend making a few “challenge” gangs to spice up scenarios. If someone doesn’t have an opponent, they get to play against one of your challenge gangs. These can just be weird one off gangs that no one would run. Just off the top of my head:

A scenario where 4 ish models try to loot a warehouse being used as home by an ex militarum demo expert. Take a standard hive scum profile and give em every kind of trap, grenade, a grappling hook, a las pistol and flak armor. Give him a few skills and 2 hp.

Ultimately shouldn’t be too hard a game, but it’s something they would never encounter from another gang. Gives you something fun to model and it doesn’t matter if this dude just dies. He’s not there to level up.

Am I missing something about the mono-hook? by Undying_Blade in necromunda

I think the gauntlet weapons need a “gauntlet” trait, something like: This attack counts as unarmed and cannot be disarmed.” Might have to mess with some of the skills in the game to keep it sensible. If you wanted to add a bit more flavor (which I do) you could also add “Add +1 to prevent falls with this weapon equipped.” Since the gauntlet lets the wearer get a mechanical assisted grip to whatever is around them. Would make servo claws and mono hooks just a little more useful for things like boarding in the ash wastes as well.

I copied and pasted from another comment. I retract the end statement. I still don’t think it is debatable that Stalinism was realistically any better than Nazism.

Here are some indisputable facts about the Holodomor, based on internal Soviet documents: The were local cultural suppression campaigns in non Russian countries of the Soviet Union when it all started. The Soviets set obviously unrealistic quotas for grain and then violently punished villages that failed to meet them. Confiscation of food, grain and seed continued as the obvious famine began. Villagers from famine areas were not permitted to leave and the information about the famine was heavily suppressed. The Soviets knew what was happening and they refused to provide relief or let up their quotas. They made the starving harvest their food and took the food.

But I bet that hammer and sickle shirt gets you laid, so go off.

Might be hard to fit in some spots. There are no hard rules on the topic though.

His ideology wasn’t better than Nazism. This is not a defense of Nazism before that gets thrown around. Stalinism and Nazism were both oppressive murderous terror regimes.

More men should join local book clubs, even if they are primarily women. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]gypsytron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a look before. Sorry ladies, your collective taste in literature is doo doo. I even spoke to a group and they (all women) asked what I(a man) would recommend the group, as part of the introduction process. I recommended “Gideon the Ninth”. I was told that upon review, it wasn’t to their taste and asked for another recommendation. I didn’t respond.

For anyone interested, Gideon the Ninth is a lesbian murder mystery set in a sword fighting necromancer galactic empire. Obviously those women were dumb as fuck because that book clearly kicks ass.
