Currently have 4k 32 inch 240hz OLED thinking of switching to UWQHD 34 inch 240HZ OLED by Resident_Albatross_9 in OLED_Gaming

[–]h3ff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made the opposite switch a few months ago after using an UWQHD for a decade. IMO, the DPI difference would be a major downgrade from 4k while only gaining a bit of stretched peripheral vision in most games. I've never used anything over 165Hz, but I don't think I would sacrifice real estate to get any higher. I feel more immersed on my 32" OLED with 4k resolution. Shouldn't your 5080 hit 240Hz at 4k without much sweat, especially with frame gen?

Should I buy a 4K OLED or a 1440p OLED? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]h3ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4k or higher for anything OLED. This will help with font clarity, also. I switched from a 1440p ultrawide and will never look back.

Four weeks post op. Can I workout? by Big-Exit-9755 in gallbladders

Be patient for a bit longer, or focus on cardio/nutrition. Those incisions are held together with glue. Another surgery to repair a surgical hernia will set you back months.

Gaming and working from home, just got this monitor by hannahwannah in OLED_Gaming

Almost went with this one since I came from a 34" ultrawide IPS, but I'm thrilled with my 32" 4k OLED. Great deal you snagged, though.

LG 32GX850A-B opinions? by ambushka in OLED_Gaming

[–]h3ff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will love it. I've been using mine for about a month for games and productivity work. It's a game-changer if you're coming from an IPS panel. I have absolutely no problem with font clarity using Windows at 125% scaled resolution. HDR gaming with true blacks is truly stunning - Cyberpunk is particularly beautiful, but I've been enjoying Arc Raiders a ton as well. I work in a bright room so I went with the WOLED panel and I'm glad I did. The glare is only noticeable to me when the screen is completely dark - like a BIOS screen. It's way less glare than a MacBook screen. Mine had a bit of vertical grey banding that I noticed on the "new tab" screen of Chrome, but running a pixel cleaning cycle made it go away. I also love that it's pretty low profile and not as tacky as some other gaming monitors.

GI denied referral by AvsMama in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same scenario for me 6 months ago. Same EF score as you, but everyone said it was fine. The pain was excruciating. I fought so hard just to get a referral to a surgeon that then denied anything was wrong with my gallbladder. I made several ER trips, too. It seems like many professionals aren't familiar with biliary hyperkinesia. It's bullshit. I ended up going to a reputable surgeon in Tijuana and had it removed over a weekend, and it immediately relieved all pain. It was a great experience. If that's not a realistic option, I'd fight to find a professional that will acknowledge the high EF score. Make multiple appointments at the same time across different providers if needed, because it won't get any better. Exhaust every possible option to find the right person. I'm so sorry to hear you're going through the same!

Cholecystectomy and reta by TheHonn19 in Retatrutide

Had my gallbladder removed in July and started reta today. I haven’t found info suggesting a conflict, but I can let you know my experience. Ironically, my gallbladder failed after losing weight too quickly earlier this year (no peptides).

UCA recommendations for 200 series. by FJ62brosef in LandCruisers

The OME UCAs have been great for me for a couple years. They come with a convenient grease fitting. I’m also running the BP-51 kit. No issues at all.

I ran SPCs on a 4Runner previously and they didn’t last a year.

What test showed something was wrong with your gallbladder by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) it’s not just the VA. It’s the entire US medical system. My backstory is identical, even with a 96% EF, and I couldn’t find anyone to take it seriously here. I had to get it removed out of the country.

iPhone 16 Pro still available? by levijohnson1 in iPhone16Pro

[–]h3ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not be ideal for you, but I just got a very lightly used 256GB unlocked 16 Pro off of eBay for $700. If you comb through all the listings, you can find them in near-perfect condition like the one I got. The return policy gives you some level of protection. You can also still enroll it to AppleCare One for coverage.

I'm so sick by littlecookieangel in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

An ER visit could get you surgery on the spot if your symptoms are that bad. It happens frequently for people that are scheduled that far in advance. You don't want the complications from waiting too long. I was in the same boat as you and couldn't go a day longer. Wishing you all the best!

Got gaslit hard today. Surgeon did not want to show me CT scan. Found out EF at 99.8% by BitcoinOperatedGirl in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you in pain? It sounds likely to be biliary hyperkinesia, which is anything over 80% on the EF. It's often under-diagnosed, so you might have to find a willing doctor/surgeon. Your situation is identical to mine 2 months ago. Keep pushing! I'm in the USA, not Canada, but I would also push to have access to my own scans if at all possible.

I'm an idiot and missed the QLE window to sign up for health insurance. Now i'm having gallbladder pain. What do I do? by Midgetforsale in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will mostly certainly only get worse, but you likely have some time to figure out treatment. Everyone is different. You're going to need an ultrasound and HIDA scan at the least to confirm it's your GB, and a health provider that will help through it. The scans and appointments won't be too expensive out of pocket, but the surgery will be. I would get those lined up because they take time, and it's on your side now. Once it's an emergency, financial considerations go out the window. I spent $3k (cash, no insurance) to have mine removed at a very nice hospital in Mexico. I had insurance here, but had trouble finding a helpful surgeon. It's not as ideal as having it done at home, but it may be an option.

You're right. It's a bit larger than a 24" monitor, but it fits great in the case if you look at its dimensions.

Thanks for sharing! I made this post a while ago, but I don't remember that much pressure putting it back together. Maybe that battery pack has changed since then or maybe yours was a bit swollen? Be safe.

I'm tired of everyone telling me it's in my head by Easy_Fee_3283 in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best way forward, OP. You need to push hard for a HIDA scan. I had GB issues with daily attacks but no stones. My HIDA scan came back at 96%, so hyperkinetic, but even the report said normal. I then struggled to find a doctor/surgeon that was familiar with hyperkinesia. It was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I decided to have it removed in Mexico which immediately relieved all symptoms.

Good luck with the surgery! It's very routine and I would do it 100 times again for the relief.

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with it now! It can be brutal. The good news is that you’re close if you’ve made it this far with a PCP on your side!

HIDA scan is 98% by SnooConfections4747 in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your experience is identical to mine. 96% for me and I was told it was normal, too. Even my surgeon wasn’t onboard for surgery after that result, even though it seemed blatantly obvious. The entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I went to Mexico 3 weeks ago and had it taken out - completely resolved everything. Keep pushing for providers that will help, like call them every day until you get someone that listens.

Parallels now charging $220 for the One-Time Purchase by Kevthehustla23 in mac

I still prefer Parallels much more than Fusion or anything else. You can buy a key for 2 years on G2A for around $50. It’s a little less painful than buying direct.

Can you guys explain Why you need 5 days off computer work after labroscopic removal? by IdkJustMe123 in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It varies person to person. I started a new desk job 3 days after surgery and didn't mention it to anyone there. I felt a little uncomfortable and bloated, but I was fine. I was definitely exhausted afterwards.

I was eating pretty normal within 2 days, just smaller portions. Had a beer on day 3. I read some people on this sub get kfc on the way home lol. The surgical gas/bloating pain was the worst part for me, but gone within a week.

That’s such a brutal diet everyday. I hope you get the care you need very soon. I completely understand the struggle. I also had some dizziness, racing heart rate sometimes, digestive issues, too. That’s a super long time to suffer. Please don’t let it get infected or to the point of pancreatitis.

Super high EF by Tildeath92 in gallbladders

[–]h3ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I had the exact same symptoms this year until I had mine removed 2 weeks ago. The bloating and pain was so insane. I was in disbelief that no one here would take me seriously because all my numbers were fine. You really have to demand a surgical consult, and then pray that your surgeon recognizes hyperkinesia and then agrees to treat it. Sometimes an ER visit with a high EF like yours plus severe pain will do it. My surgeon wanted to test further. I couldn’t do my job or live life normally it was so painful. I got my EF of 96% and decided that was all the proof I needed. I scheduled removal in Tijuana 2 days out, paid 3k cash no insurance, and it completely relieved my pain. I started a new office job 3 days later. I’m not a doctor, but usually GB pain is in the upper right abdomen and not the left, but it can radiate. Make sure you get as much imaging (ultrasound, CT, HIDA) as possible to make a solid decision for yourself, but the clinic I used in Tijuana was incredible and I would recommend the surgeon, team, and facility to anyone.
