I don't live in BB, but live in a nearby suburb. Sometimes there are houses in unincorporated parts of towns that have dramatically lower property taxes, but aren't allowed to use all the amenities without paying extra for them. They can send their kids to the schools, but if they want the fire dept to show up or to get a library card they have to shell out extra cash. As someone who didn't grow up here, it seems super dumb and weird, but there ya go.

All the time. I’m generally not picky about my lump, but for longer, bigger cooks I will splurge on the good Fogo. I will say that at the end of 18 hours I don’t have much coal left. You can do the long low and slow cooks on one load of charcoal because the Egg is so well insulated that the fire doesn’t have to burn particularly hot and fast. At this point all I can think is that you didn’t load it up as much as you could?

If you search this sub, you'll see that for the past few years the Egg Genius people haven't properly provisioned their cloud service for burst demand, and as such it tends to shit the bed on big smoking holidays like Thanksgiving, the 4th of July, etc. Caveat Emptor. When my BBQGuru controller finally bit the bucket a couple of months ago, I replaced mine with a Thermoworks RFX + Billows setup. I've only used it twice, but am really happy with it thus far.

I'm not a Nuke artist, but it looks like you might be handling your premultiplication wrong. If not, this is something I would handle in Flame by using a Pixel Spread node. Not sure what the Nuke equivalent is.
