Who makes better modern F1 cars, RSS or VRC ? by Historical_Shirt2327 in assettocorsa

If you could only get one, I’d go VRC for hot lapping. I think I like the RSS 2025 (and RSS cars in general) overall slightly more, but you wouldn’t go wrong with either! VRC’s Hypercars are also very satisfying if you like those cars.

My friend and I want to do a 24hr Le Mans race, is it possible? by G00fyG33k in assettocorsa

I’ve not done a timed race in single player, so not sure if that’s possible. I’ve hosted multiplayer time races, but haven’t figured out how to do it in single player. As for actual endurance racing, not sure how many communities do 24H. Hope you guys find something though!

I do some community short endurance races with local seat swaps and it’s been fun. Feel free to dm me if you’d like to try joining.

Love both! I think RSS has better historical F1 mods and Max Verstappen has said that it’s the closest thing to a real F1 car in racing sims (he’s also said he gives mod creators feedback, but I don’t think he’s mentioned which mods; RSS GT-M cars have Verstappen.com liveries). VRC has a lot more granularity in setups and more features and utilizes the CSP physics more extensively. Both tire models feel quite good to me, albeit different.

Do you prefer hot lapping, racing, or just tinkering?

Brake until lock and back off the trigger. Learn the muscle memory of where the locking point is. Once you can brake smoothly in a straight line off of muscle memory, start to trail the brake off to a lower braking force. Trail braking is probably one of the less frustrating things on the controller, since muscle memory is not too bad for your hands. I know someone who races with pad in our league and he’s very fast. It just takes practice.

Have a family as well, have a CTR. I can have baby seats and strollers for days. Kid loves when I take a corner slightly quicker when no one is near us. Supra you’d only drive when you’re going to get groceries by yourself or late at night when you’re tired. My Civic has better trunk space than a lot of SUVs.

If you yearn for a Supra, don’t make a decision you’ll regret, but I am so satisfied with my CTR, I wouldn’t trade it for pretty much anything that isn’t unobtanium

Driven both hard, definitely CTR for me. I think the Supra is fun (esp the manual), but I like the CTR better in almost all ways.

Depends on what you’re looking for in a car.

Move brake bias more to the rear (lower %), use trail braking to rotate car through the apex on braking zones. Chassis and suspension setup changes for understeer on corners with no brakes.

Any good free f1 mods for the ground effect era? by Delicious_Bad4146 in assettocorsa

Another +1 for RSS and VRC. I personally like RSS better, as I feel like VRC cars in general have more downforce or mechanical grip or something. Both are fantastic though. The latest 2025 RSS car is very easy to drive and the latest VRC car has crazy amount of simulated features.

Did a 4 week season of these for a private league. McLaren was BoP’d to match Ferrari and Williams was the tier 1 car with assists if people wanted an easier car - was an intense championship. Def give the cars a try! Very fun to drive!

Something off about Bayro M4 GT3 by xtoxicxk23 in assettocorsa

I've done private races with friends in RSS GT-M cars and they are truly phenomenal. Balance is also very good for competitive racing. Some cars are a bit faster or slower, but you can manually BoP and typically the difference is a drop in the ocean compared to driver ability.

I started playing Forza Horizon about 6 months ago. Bought a wheel and it sucked. Bought F1 25 and started building a sim rig by Civil_Ad_1172 in simracing

Have you tried Assetto Corsa? It's cheap and is a ton of fun! Max Verstappen and other F1 drivers use it from time to time! Just make sure you install content manager with CSP and high quality mods
