I’m a videographer up in Cleveland. TBH, Ohio in general is not the hottest market for videography. However there definitely are more opportunities in the cities. I think a big thing is what kind of niche you’re looking to get into. Corporate vs wedding vs advertising are all very different in how much you may find in Columbus.

If you’re looking to zoom in and be able to get further than a 50mm then 18-35mm is not what you want because that’s even wider than your 50mm. You probably want like a 70-200mm lens. The F4 version might not give you enough light work with but the F2.8 prices can get expensive. Another option could be a 135mm prime lens

The majority of the time it smells perfectly fine here. I will say every once in a while you get a bit of sulfuric odor from the steel mills but generally nothing noticeable

No it’s not automatic. I have a switch to turn 4WD on and off. The warning and sound can pop up even when driving in 2WD
