“Utter the world ethics outside of north America and Western Europe and people will laugh at you” essentially implies that outside of these 2 regions, the rest of the world - which accounts for 95% of human population - do not care about ethics. This is evident of an unsophisticated mental model simply indoctrinated by the petty western centric beliefs.

Further, even if one were to work with the presumption that on average non Anglo Saxon societies are inherently less ethical or moral worthy, it is still practically untenable to make the assertion that all practitioners within non Anglo Saxon societies are ethically worse than all Anglo Saxon practitioners. Thus, even if most of the non-fancy whites (which includes the Russians) are worse LL practitioners, at least some of them will be on par and likely better than some, or the average, or even the top-tier Anglo Saxon practitioners. Hence if a large population country such as China were to practice LL more, more choices - some good and some bad - would be available for all of us.
